14 in a row!

This reminds me of the injury struck aussie team that drew 18 all with us after getting beaten 22-0 the previous game. That team they rolled out due to injuries was horrible and we were on a streak then. Seems like we are getting better at getting that sort of stuff off our backs now so hopefully we win by 50 this game.

In 2000 I took my 4 & 2 year old sons to the Sydney Easter Show and we visited the Wallabies stand. They had the full set of cups back then.
RWC, Bled, Cook etc and I remember saying to them "Treasure this moment lads because you will never see all these cups together in Australia again"
Remember the constant references in their press to their " bulging trophy cabinet"? And how they seemed to keep inventing them? I think they still have the one they play Italy for ( snigger) . -

Do we have one for Italy?

I know besides Bledisloe we have South Africa (Mandela Plate), Argentina (Puma Cup), Wales (James Bevan Trophy), Ireland (Lansdowne Cup), Scotland (Hopetoun Cup), England (Cook Cup), France (Bicentennary Trophy), and BIL (Tom Richards Cup).

Some of those ones even predate the glories of the Freedom Cup, Dave Gallaher Trophy, and Hillary Shield.
-

Can't find the old thread to recycle that but having gone unbeaten since Sydney last year the ABs now have 11 wins on the trot and it's time to start thinking about whether they can threaten the Tier 1 record of 17, set by the Fred Allen era ABs, later equalled by the Nick Mallett Boks and the 2014 ABs.

Or dare we imagine? Perhaps knocking the mighty Mofflons from top position with their 24 in a row.

As always it would depend on going through a Tri Nations ... errr Rugby Championship ... undefeated. No mean feat even given Transformation and Wallaby result v England.

If, and it remains a big If, they keep winning then the third Bledisloe in Auckland becomes D-day for No.18.

If my maths is right 25 to take the outright record would necessitate a Lions series winning second test effort ...

To those who think posting this kind of thread jinxes the possibility please get a grip on reality and fuck off with your superstitious bullshit :)

By the way ... Soon to be Number One in the World England are only two behind us on 9 in a row ...
