@mariner4life Funny thing for me is, is that although Drew Hutchinson is one of the slowest athletes I have ever seen, I do think he does OK for the Dogs at present. He does have a decent brain, his body just doesn't go with what his brain wants him to do. He's OK for now until someone better comes along, could be a few years, but they may as well stick with him imo.

Souths were absolutely mental thinking Ilias was the answer. His family friend/agent Braith Anasta did well for him getting 50+ games out of him, the kid was sadly never the answer. Be interesting to see how this English kid, Lewis Dodd goes there. I guess he'll have Bennett and his coaching team there so some stability for him at least.

sort of following on from those last two posts, i started thinking, who would you name if you had to pick a rep side of the NRL to take on anyone else? Regardless of nationality, sort of an All NRL first team?

    Mine is packed with Panthers

Props: AFB, JFH, Haas and Big Tino
    Hookers: Grant and Robson
Back Row: Chrichton, Nanai, Fifita, Yeo (shout to Patty Carrigan who deserves a spot, but Yeo is amazing)
    Halves: Cleary, Mam
Centres: Manu, and shit, one of Cobbo and May (for completely different reasons)
    Wings: To'o and Coates
Fullback: Fucking pick one. I think it's Edwards, but would anyone blink if you put Walsh or Papy in there?

Heaps of 50/50s, especially in the back row.

So, word is the Panthers are tearing up his contract based on his stand down and a laundry list of other smaller breaches.

Which club will just ignore it all and sign him if the DV charges go away.

I'm going Uncle Nick who is looking for an outside back and will promise his brother (who in turn is getting misled by the cheese) can sort him out
If St George cant steal Talagi, perhaps them or of course The Tigers who will still pay overs

lets see, will be fun to see how this plays out

he already has one of them, may as well get another. Uncle Nick cares about nothing except winning football games. Jennings says high

and State of Origin kicks off tonight

One team looks like it has been picked to bash its opposition into submission, other the looks like it has been picked to evade big clumbsy forwards.

Weather doesn't look great with rain predicted is afternoon (none so far), so might be slippery

I would suggest a tight low scoring game either way but brutal as always

Thinking NSW might still pip QLD even with the late fullback change, but you never can write off QLD!

Incoming Wallabies star Joseph Sua'ali'i sent off in Origin 1 after 7mins after knocking out Reece Walsh with a shocking shoulder to the head.

Classic league commentators saying 'it might be a card' and then being shocked when he gets sent off. That's why I don't watch league much, bunch of morons don't protect their athletes. That was a fking shocking tackle.

@bayimports this could be a blood bath for NSW at home. 20-6, only 24mins gone.

Could have been uglier if Dearden stopped dropping in short to Su'a and just went straight to Cobbo/Hammer a couple of times.

Yeah awful tackle - took 2 players out for the game - including perhaps the most exciting player on the field in Walsh.

Massive defence by the Blues gave them a chance, but their attack couldn't manufacture any scores. Now QLD out the game away

OK that was very nicely done.

Despite the score and down to 12 men there are large parts of this game where NSW looked the better team.

Unfortunately for them they now have to win at Suncorp to win the series.

The thing that bugs me, is a lot of the comments focus on the fact it was a ‘massive call in a big game like that’

How big of a game it is shouldn’t even come into it, if it’s worthy of a send off, it’s a send off, simple.
