Hurricanes v Highlanders

Excellent backline work from the Canes making that look easy. Rayasi should be penalised for raising his forearm and attempting to strike the defender in the head.

Highlanders attack in stark contrast looks too static.

Yup. Every NZ team apart from the Crusaders have managed to shut us down and get us playing like this. Far too easy for these better teams to read and defend.

Holland moving to Ta$man? Fin celebration
I think that’s for his Dunedin club?

Ah makes sense

Why did Hurley not let that run dead?
-
That is some amateur hour stuff from Hurley

Relentless by the Canes

I’ve also seen those strip ball cases be ruled as a knock on… grey area for sure

This wind is giving the Highlanders nightmares. Let’s hope we can do similar to the canes in the second half and get some luck go our way to keep this close.

Nice steal by Holland initially. Not sure how people can't see his talent
Who can’t exactly ? Especially given the lack of other options ?

I'll say if these were two even teams, reckon you could make an argument that this wind is nearly worth 15 points... the issue is, defensively they are too big and quick for us, and we don't have the kicking talent in the backline to exploit them.
Finn Hurley, I can't question his attitude, energy and endeavour, but he is just so clearly too small. He can't make breaks, and just gets folded despite plenty of effort. A great rugby player, but just too small.
