Moana Pasifika v Waratahs
-
Sums up the Tahs' season having that try denied for an arguable loss forward.
Also, the difference between first/ prem grade front rowers and SR is stark. Such that you could conceivably worry about injuries.
-
Karen Taumofileau having a field day out there. Berry giving the Waratahs scrum the benefit of the doubt a fair bit, but at the same time, Mafileo and Pole need to be patient.
Savea, Halo and Sione Havili also having big games so far.

Is a maul formed from a tackle supposed to be reffed completely differently?
No, but they are
I had to ask, that was still moving at a rapid pace, so figured I'd missed something. Defending team is often allowed to collapse it too.

Solid enough win for Moana, causing some real damage out there. The Tahs rallied late once Moana's subs came on. How good is Lotu Inisi?! He is a seriously good ball carrier. He's been one of the best 8s in the comp this year. Savea also turned back the clock with that performance, with strong performances from Taumofileau, Fine Inisi, Sione Havili and Sekope Kepu also turned back the clock when he came on.
Still improvements to be made next year, but nice to see that we're at least somewhat competitive this season, and hopefully that is the last time we play at Mt Smart. Roll on 2025.
Oh, and MOANA, MOANA, MOANA!
