Lakai will be an AB, maybe even in this series.

@Tim yeah I agree but I think Lakai will get in. I don't think they'll pick both Jacobsen and Ioane.

@Canes4life Can't deny the talent and athleticism. Plenty of tests in his future.

@Tim for sure re Lakai. I think Ioane may have surpassed Jacobsen on form so he may get the nod now.

Admittedly I haven't watched much Super, but would Proctor be a better option than ALB on the bench?

@Canes4life Lakai as a test 6? No chance.

I've heard that Jordan will be fit for England. Ignoring that he hasn't played yet. 😉

    Ethan Blackadder too??

    @Tim

    Then, Franks I suppose 🙂

Newell to start. Of younger props could go with Dyer or Mafileo. Stop gaps would include Ofa switching to TH or Angus.

Please God keep Tamaiti on LH.

@Tim is Lord in any sort of consideration?

Also, I agree about additional THP and Lock.

ive always been impressed when i see proctor play, always works hard to get too the outside shoulder, could be the missing link to unlock our wings

Proctor has been the form 13 of Super Rugby. He's been excellent. He does the ability to play 12 - right now ALB has runs on the board but if Proctor can transfer his Super form to test level then he will give Razor something to really think about.

I see Aaron Smith has supported Ardie for captain

Razor has a big decision to make at captain.

Ardie will be the people's choice and if he chooses Barrett then people will just claim it's Crusader bias.

Barrett also has a propensity to get himself carded and currently has an injury issue.

On the other hand Barrett has been a more successful Super captain than Ardie and Ardie has been off overseas in Japan.

Of course ultimately winning will solve all problems but it will be a big first decision for Razor.

Between Ardie and Barrett, yikes. Not exactly the two sharpest knives in the drawer.

I think I'd rather follow Ardie than Barrett though Just from what I have observed.

I'd be a bit surprised if they don't pick 6 props. I'd be very surprised if they pick 4 wings in a 32 man squad.

Captain is a concern - as much as I hate to say it with the ambuguity in the game these days the captain has to be someone that can get in the ear of the ref and influence them.

Savea is just extremely passive with the ref and Barret would probably just annoy them.

How good is Papps with his coms to the ref?

He's fine, but not as good as Patrick.

It would be tempting to me to make one of Taylor or Patrick captain for one year as an interim captain.

Loose forward is going to be very contested, and IMO we want to be able to try Hoskins at 8. Ardie's not been a seven for a long time now too.

I think Paps is a dark horse here for captain.

He’s a good age, has experience in the role at Super level, and is probably the right 7 to allow Ardie to be Ardie at 8.

I think the talk of Blackadder to Japan could be a clue that the word is out that Paps has the jersey sewn up.

I think he is a future AB captain. It may not be this year but I think it’s coming.
