No Gobert, no problem! Minny so physical, DEN for very few easy shots, no in the paint looks. Jokic found it much harder to pass through the Wolves tall timber. Their attack was well balanced, I think Denver are in big trouble

Apparently the Wolves have offered Gobert 8 weeks paternity leave

Mavs leading with 3 left, but Luka looking really average in the last few minutes.

Hardaway Jr just made an important three.

Ankle plus Dort just wearing him down? Also being a bit fat maybe?

Bench did enough in that spurt to give them air.

Fun series, you'd think both these teams will be mincemeat for the Wolves though

It was - but it’s also a fucking debacle. The hack-a-someone rule is the dumbest thing in any sport that I can think of. I can’t believe that the NBA still allows it.

It’s an intentional foul, a non-basketball play - it should be a foul and possession from half court.

Ludicrous that it’s still this way, a massive blight on the game

I agree, but I would allow the team to choose the shooter when the refs decide there is an intentional foul.

    Yep, that works too.

Draft lottery happens, and confirmed the Basketball Gods hate Detroit. Lose 68 games in a season to get the 5th pick.

Atlanta get #1. And weirdly it is still predicted to be Sarr from the Perth Wildcats. I really wasn't all that impressed with him this year.

Spurs end up with 4th and 8th. Be interesting to see their mentality.

If Sarr is still the talk about no1, then it just goes to show that this draft class is weak, weak, weak. Definitely good enough as a mid lottery pick. Shows you want YouTube can do for you prospects, because this kid has plenty of pre-NBL video footage.

Next years draft class has better players right now than those that will feature this year. I’d take Cooper Flagg or Ron Harper’s son or there’s this Spanish kid Gonzalez right now ahead of any of the top prospects.

And congrats to the Hawks for snagging that number 1 pick for the first time in 50 years when they selected David Thompson. If they get a player even half as good as Skywalker, they will have done okay!

Nuggets win and go home with home advantage. Fascinating series.

Indy wins to draw their series and it looks like the Knicks are just a bit too banged up.

However, the Pacers are quite shit away from home so more fun to come.

Fuuuuuuck, Luka misses a couple of free throws to draw it up and the Mavs go down to Oklahoma, 2-2.

SGA was great in that game and we look cooked. Especially, Luka looks fat and injured.

He took the game by the scruff aye. I am really enjoying this series. For some reason the Timberwolves escaped me this season. I have been surprised by them. Especially Edwards. Not his best game today but the kid has talent.

Yeah it's funny isn't it. The East is a bit of a rock fight, though it's good to see the Knicks relevant again.

While the West is just the battle of a chubby European vs OKC/Minnesota.

Jokic is so fun to watch. My favourite is his complete dedication to shaving seconds off the clock after each Minnesota bucket. He deliberately spills the ball into the crowd, or turns and shouts at his team, or passes the ball to the ref. Once you notice it you never stop seeing it, it's brilliant. Shithousery at its best.

If the Knicks were healthy they would be a serious problem.

Yeah but then you'd have to play guys less than 42 minutes a game, and it's a sacrifice that Thibs is never going to make.
