Havili has the skills to play at 10 at this level. His talents allow him to be able to play anywhere.

Havili at 10 just screams of desperation for an answer. Should just stick with Reihana.
On the other hand, it looks like a case of just getting your best players on the field all at once.
Fihaki must feel pretty hard done by with having been dropped for McNicholl last week and now for Halfpenny who hasn’t played any footy at all since his injury, interesting decision.
Definitely that, and a call from the AB coach.
To be honest, as I thought in 2020, his best chance to maintain an AB jumper is to be Mr fixit - if he can cover 10, 12, FB he's a very handy squaddie.
Wait, being decidedly average in 3 positions is an advantage now?

Not a great sign for AB selections if he’s considering DH as a back up ten.
Unfortunately no one is banging the door down behind DMac and a returning Beaudie. The closest would be Harry Plummer - who has a lot more 10 experience but no test experience (visca versca to Havili)

At least hopefully some guns like Harry Godfrey, Josh Jacomb, Lucas Cashmore will be entering the conversation by 2027.

Agreed. It can happen pretty quickly. Cruden went from NZ U20s in 2009 to a genuine test 10 option by the end of 2011. Not saying that's typical but still.

You're welcome, Razor.
He's got all the tools, big boot (be interesting to see how his kicking placement goes), ball skills he uses to put others in space (great wide pass and deft short balls), decent running game, better defence than Mounga and Beauds., ability to take the ball into contact if required (and not just shovel shit). IMO could well be his best position at international level. Fingers crossed.

Apparently, yes.

Wouldnt halfpenny be on kicking duty, pretty good % at international level.?
