Deserved win to the ponies.
Landers look clueless on attack... no real playmaker leader. 2024 is largely going to be 2023 rinse and repeat unfortunately

I think it's really starting to take shape, just missing a beat.

Nah. The Landers last year got pumped. Regularly. Patchell has been the backline leader. Wasn't playing today. Gilbert as much as he should be a good player. He is just a bit nothing.

I'd have gone for the lineout and drive

@SouthernMann Hard to disagree, potential though.. he looked a bit deer in headlights at time...
Yeah he actually went better than I expected, some nice touches on attack - just a bit pedestrian
Gilbert at 12 doesn't help any of our 10s....
Apart from the best one you mean?

Why? They get a bonus point, all they can get.
South Islanders letting the NZ teams down

Points difference and I didn't trust Gilbert not to fuck up.

That two points is going to be really costly at the end of the season.

Goal kicking aside I am just not a big fan of Gilbert

@antipodean sometimes easier said than done when someone has extreme pace, margins get smaller.
Decent game, looked close to breaking into a brilliant game, but didn't.

The Clan never fail to frustrate. Only the Clan can gift the Brumbies a 5-metre lineout with a few minutes to go. You couldn't make that shit up. WTF!

Bullshit. I reckon the canes definitely could too.
I guess this year's crusaders would've been too far behind already....

@Bones don't bring this year's Canes into this. We've turned a corner. I would have agreed if you referenced the 2023 Canes because I'm pretty sure we did that under Holland.
Best canes team ever.
