Mitchell is a busy, bustling kind of batsman.

This partnership is key. We have batting to come but I want these two to be there when the new ball comes. The pitch looks benign with the old ball but the pace bowlers worry me in any conditions.

Ravindra the pick of our batters for the series. Not perfect, but he's played with confidence. Just has to learn when to leave

You’re probably right but the fact you’ve picked a guy who got 0 and 4 speaks volumes about the batting this series.

The bar is low for sure. But he's got two 50s as well in a relatively low scoring series

I’m not saying anything further after the Kane Williamson fiasco yesterday

The big challenge of the day is yet to come. Let's see how we deal with the Aussies taking the new ball

Pleasing thing is 4 batsmen have stood up so far Latham and Williamson did a great job batting against the new ball and the fresh Aussie quicks that 125 run partnership put a halt on a possible collapse.
Now backed up by Ravindra and Mitchell.
That us what I want to see some fight with the bat.

It’s very promising so far. Another 150 runs and the pressure is fully back on Oz

We will have a real game if we can score another 150/180

I don't think Australia will be worried about having to chase 320. Pitch looks docile and it won't break up.

We need another 220+. I know historically it is hard to chase big scores on day 4 and 5, but I can't see it being an issue here.

As I say that, the ball rears out of footmark. Hope to see that continue.

nope 320 would not be easy Hagley will spin on the last day and half.

4 x 50s by the Black Caps but really needed a big score from someone.

This is a worry now. 2 new batsman to the crease.

While 4 batsman have made starts, we really needed someone to go on and get a big century.

Four very good innings but we really needed one of those to go bigger.

Ravindra was looking really good too ! Bugger

There has been a lot of playing and missing. You will nick one eventually. If one of these can get in then I hope the last 4 bat with some sense.
