Jeffery Toomaga-Allen
Be interesting to see how he goes
Jeffery Latu Toomaga-Allen (born 19 November 1990) is a rugby union footballer who previously played as a tighthead prop for Samoa, and for Ulster in the United Rugby Championship. He also previously played for Wellington Lions in the ITM Cup and the Hurricanes in Super Rugby.[1] Toomaga-Allen has also played for New Zealand's international rugby team, the All Blacks, three times during his career. Toomaga-Allen is currently signed with the Queensland Reds until the end of 2025.[2]

Boy I am happy to see Jacomb on bench, I rate this kid!
Never seen him play so looking forward to it. No pressure young fella, but NZ desperately needs a quality 10 coming through. I am assuming he is being looked at as a 10 by the Chiefs?
-
@Crazy-Horse Jacomb has played for the Development team at 1st 5, and has replaced Trask in the squad, so is the third-choice 1st 5.
-
@Crazy-Horse yep and is 10 for the Naki. To me he genuinely looks to have a lot of promise. There is a reason that Perofeta plays 15 so much in the NPC.
-
Chiefs by plenty in this game. Not only are they red hot atm but the Reds have lost most of the firepower in their backline with Paisami and Petaia injured. I've picked the Chiefs 17+

Will the Chiefs throw the pill to the wings like they did against the Brumbies as Parker is not known to be fast ?
Yeah, Parker is a 6/8 but McMillan has been playing him at 7. Boshier was often stationed out wide vs the Brumbies so maybe Parker will be doing the same.
-
Happy with the team, good to see Sam T get a start as he's a key go-forward player for the Chiefs. Not 100% sold on Ah Koui as a starter, an excellent impact player to bring on when the games starting to lose shape, but grinding out the hard yards in the tight to break the defense down? I'm not so sure.
Bosher has been adequate at 7 but not great so interesting to see how Parker goes. Glad to see Ratima get a start as while Roe's linking/support play and defensive organisation is really good, his pass out of the ruck is so slow, painfully slow...
I think a good choice to have Ioane at FB and SS on the wing. Caaombes fabling (ap for spelling) has been pretty underwhelimg so in effect I think it gets more spark on the field.
I wouldn't exactly write the Reds off, they've showen a bit of starch this year, I'm picking a tight tussle till about the 65th minute then the Cheifs to ease out as the game loses it's shape.

Fast paced but plenty of inaccuracies by both sides so far.
