Lyon teeing off. Eying his first test 50.
That was nicely jinxed. Very good catch.
TV commentators did that. I assume that’s where you got the stat from anyway!
How long do we think they’ll bat today? Get to 400-450? Or just pummel us to oblivion?
I think they'll look at the weather forecast and aim to set us 450.
Couldn't watch yesterday, but man that was a disappointing day. At 6/176 we'd prised the door open and had a good chance to bowl them out for well under 250. To let them add 200+ from there was abysmal.
I didn't have much faith that we'd score a lot of runs against the Oz attack - they're way better than our bowlers.
But, to run Kane out for a duck and get to 5/29! FFS!

@MN5 I would probably have us behind at this point, with draw being most likely scenario.
If Monday is a washout, then we need to bat all day tomorrow and save this test to redeem the piss-poorness of yesterday!

It's a depressing insight into the annual life of a Wallabies fan.
It's eerily similar isn't it. Like the Wallabies they kill you by allowing you to hope, then snatching that hope away with a spineless capitulation that you never saw coming, though somehow at the same time you knew it was inevitable.
And as an Aussie fan you have this confidence that no matter the jam they get into, they will somehow find their way out.
The sad thing is I only get to enjoy this twice every four years, where you guys get it 3-4 times every year!

In a few summers of junior cricket I've yet to see kids collide with each other while running between the wickets. The Craps have managed it twice since Christmas...

Phillips goes bang, bang and Head and Mitchmarsh are back in the hut.
127/6 - but, 331 ahead and the horse's hooves can barely be heard pouding up the road!
A batsman who can bowl spin as well as he can will be a massive addition down the line. With Ravindra at the other end you can actually see how Santner was surplus to requirements….
