@mikedogz never really kicked on did he?

The same applies to his younger brother Charles. He was such a good player at 1st XV/U20 level, and I thought he would have a bright future as a tall, athletic 6.

I've no idea where he is now after playing for Southland.

Google says he was playing club rugby in Melbourne this year

The parents may still live in Melbourne as that is where Charles came from to go to school in NZ.

@Bovidae He looked OK, but just a bit lightweight to become a SR level 6.

27-year-old Joel Hintz wil make his debut for the Sharks in the URC match against the Stormers on saturday.

The New Zealand prop was brought over to Durban as front row cover from Hawke’s Bay.

He has also turned out for the New England Free Jacks in Major League Rugby in the USA.

Not really a post concerning a new expatriate but I have to say that Iosefa-Scott is doing the business for the Exeter Chiefs. A return home would be welcome !

@Daffy-Jaffy All of the home unions and Ireland now have Kiwi coaches in some form with Wales having a head coach, Ireland backs coach, Scotland and England have two former All Black assistant/skills coaches.

@Bovidae Was thinking about how close he was. He missed virtually the whole of last season too .

Wasn't there a rumour Sevu was leaving last year? I presume his injury meant that fell through and he's taking the opportunity now

Also 27 is geriatric in recent AB winger history. It's the right time to cash in or move positions

Devlin and his offsider making veiled reference to some external factor influencing Reece's decision to leave on their show yesterday. Any clues?

Did Devlin take his tongue out from licking the arse of the NRL for a few minutes to discuss Reece?

I wonder what will keep Reece in NZ this time? So far we have assault a female and get injured for a year from his other two attempts to go overseas.

Reed Prinsep and 21 y/o BOP Prop Josh Bartlett have both signed with the Western Force. Prinsep as injury cover, according to All.Rugby.

Fair call. One for the GOM or State of the Game thread perhaps.

'Saracens have dropped a major hint that they have reached an agreement to sign highly-rated Crusaders fly-half Fergus Burke after they started following him on Instagram.

Fissler Confidential broke the news on Saturday morning that Premiership champions Saracens were close to signing Burke to replace former England captain Owen Farrell, who is moving to Racing 92 next season.

Burke, 24, was on Gregor Townsend’s radar earlier this year when the Scottish Rugby Union made him a big-money offer to join the Glasgow Warriors and switch his international allegiances to Scotland'.

Saracens drop biggest clue yet on Owen Farrell's replacment

Would be a good move for him in fairness. Would he ever become an AB? Probably a Longshot at this stage so it would be good for his International career if he did go.
