Little Kane really does now dine - of right - at the very top table of test batsmen.

Unless Bradman wants to eat at a little desk on his own.

I’m pretty confident in saying I think Ravindra is going to go on and surpass Williamson and be our best batsman.

When Kane was Rachin's age. He already had 7 test centuries, 2300 test runs at an average of 40.

yeah there’s some absolute bullshit there. Not saying Ravindra won’t develop into a fine player but he’s flogging a minnow in his backyard, let’s be honest.

    Well ok then
But he will still go on and be pretty decent. 🙂

    And just for fun.

When Martin Crowe was the same age. He had 1800 test runs at an average of 38 with 5 test centuries.

Quiz. If you can name the 3rd best* NZ batsman at the age of 24 years and 78 days.
Not an overly obvious one, but had a fast start to his career.

    • Best is subjective. A runs and average combination.

Sometimes I wonder if people realise just how amazing KW actually is. He is a once in a generation player, ESPECIALLY by NZ standards.

Of course the fuck you bloody crowd point out that he does so well at home but he still averages over 40 overseas with 13 test tons which is very good.

If Ravindra ends up almost as good as Ross Taylor I’d be happy.

@Darren to counter everyone raining on your parade, Rachin has the ability to be right up there with Kane at the end of his career. It's also taken him longer to crack the team as we actually have a world class side at the moment, so the "same age" comparisons aren't completely fair. Such an exciting talent.

so returning to the cricket Mitchel went to an amazing c&b and Blundell has joined him after a quick 11. Ravindra on 199*

    Phillips in.

Not withstanding his stats as the greatest all rounder ever ( Batting average 46 and bowling 16 ) he’s very much a batting all rounder. Interesting that Blundell bats ahead of him given he’s certainly not a frontline bowler by any stretch.

Philips running like an idiot. Zero sense from him when Ravindra is on 199*

Yeah, NZ seem to obsessed with having the keeper bat at 6 which makes sense when your trying to play someone like Santner as your allrounder, but doesn't make sense if you allrounder is someone like M Bracewell of Phillips who would be more batters than bowlers.
