@Billy-Tell they are light at hooker and scrum half. And I don’t see Willemse playing again for a while.

@Billy-Tell Ireland don’t have 15 world class players. But they are much more cohesive.

    Ireland are the best.

    They are back!

    Awful commentary.

Defense is about heart. French heart currently elsewhere.

France are still stuck in 2023 at their home World Cup. I think the QF loss haunts this group a bit.

Red card didn't help, but France looked like second best the entire game

Missed last 15 minutes. Ireland win 38-17. A bit of a thumping.

I'm up to minute 33, and yeah they're pretty shit. Lucu is no Dupont.

What shits me: every time they're is any form of head clash, Ireland ham it up to get the review.

The reserve scrummie looked much better but the damage was done.

France (Lucu/Willemse/passive defence on Aki) handed that game to Ireland.)

On the other hand it’s nice to see Ireland learning from its previous RWC failings. Not sure if peaking too late is really an improvement though.

    Good game!

So impressive by Ireland, that was dominant. They haven't skipped a beat from last year. Their recycling and power running just smashed France. VdF, Doris, the locks, and Aki just rolled France. JGP is now the best halfback around, and as said by some last year, Ireland's key player.

Great from the Irish lineout too, picked the French apart.

They took France's heart too, and the last try was inevitable.

France were pretty shit really. Ireland smashed them, and other than a couple of small flurries, the French had no comeback.

Ireland play thr current interpretations around the attacking team at the ruck so well. They are very hard to turn over because the front guy is never on his feet, and guys like POM fly in the side. It allows them to keep ball for ages.

They are very well coached, and I think the Farrell Lions are going to murder Australia.

Both teams overdo the wide pass to a stationary winger. France probably did themselves out of a try by trying the wide pass rather than a short one that would have left the winger unmarked as the last man.

There has to be thinking around it, as we love it too, but I can't see what it is.

Irish scrum is a bit shit. Porter is not the best LHP in the 6N but a long shot. Furlong is well past his best.

The young Irish lock is impressive.

He's Patrick Tuipolotou's wet dream - both players similar size, but that's where the similarities end.
