Harbaugh wants the smoke and is heading to the Chargers to face off against Mahomes twice a year
Great situation for him. He has a top QB, and a franchise crying out for success
how many years since the SB win? 4? It's hardly Detroit is it
Huh? The chargers have never won a SB

You are confusing with LA Rams I think

The Rams, with their St Louis SBs, are like the Lakers compared to the Chargers' Clippers

ah yep, confused with the Rams. My bad.

yes, they are our division "rivals" (and i use that term very very loosely) and thus i am supposed to hate them
but holy shit the Chiefs are amazing. Patrick Mahomes is an absolute great. A huge road win against a previously dominant team, another AFC championship, another trip to the Superbowl.
-
how did we go from the Brady era straight in to the Mahomes era? these things are not supposed to happen in the NFL.
This kid has been a starter for 6 years. His worst season result is overtime losses in the Championship game
-
@mariner4life you'd have to back the KC Chiefs to get it done again in the SB. Would be pretty cool if the super underperforming Lions can sneak past the 49ers.
-
whole game changed on 3 plays. 4th down attempt dropped by the Lions. Interception not only dropped by the Lions, it pops in the niners receivers' hands for a huge gain. After the KO first play fumble.
-
what did the Detroit receivers put on their hands at half time? they can't catch anything.
Weird game. deserved win for the Niners on the back of some great 2nd half play

and that was the game unfortunately. Skill errors cost the Lions - but they fought bloody hard. Give those 49ers any momentum and they'll roll.
interestingly, lots of sacks missed- the penalties are making defensive players gunshy
-
These 49ers give me a heart attack every week
Game of two halves
Dan Campbell choked the second half - overly aggressive to the point of stupidity - no need to go for those 4th downs.
49ers show for the second week they have the ability to come back.
Another shot at the Chiefs - bring it!

Spare a thought for the Raiders
A Super Bowl in their home stadium and it features their division rivals up against their former cross town rivals.
Ouch.

I don't think the coaching was bad, it was the skill errors. The first 4th down play was fine - Reynolds just dropped it. Then he drops another one, then Gibbs fumbles. The pressure from the away crowd, the heat of the big stage and they just didn't have it.
If you're going to burn the coach, better criticism is the run on 3rd and goal in the last minute which burned their timeout.
But ultimately the 9ers were the better team. Purdy huge in the clutch, especially with his legs. And the defence stepped up when it mattered.
