Third time lucky maybe...so he definitely didn't turn down any super teams this year?
Because it would be pretty silly to be upset at NZR if he did, wouldn't it?
Lol have the Hawkes Bay lads not answered your question yet? Classic.

@Canes4life think they got too upset trying to defend his body shape.

Fun conversation though, as it turns out he was in the Canes U20 and was not offered a contract (or at least didn’t accept one with their WTG), trained with the Landers and wasn't offered a contract (or at least didn’t accept one with the WTG), and rejected the Crusaders (likely a 2-year contract).
Terrible non-selection. He's been robbed.

@gt12 and we still don't know if he actually was offered something for next year and just wasn't interested. To be honest at his age I'd be tempted to earn some good moolah whil seeing a neat part of the world as well, rather than getting a few South Pacific pesos to set up shop in Hamilton or Dunedin for the winter.

He won't be earning much coin in MLR, he would earn a heap more in super. Maximum they can earn is $45 grand under their salary cap, why only players who can't get super contract go there. The better ones go to Japan etc where cash is much better. There's a reason that the likes of Andy Ellis etc are still playing in MLR at almost 40, good as he was it's a retirement camp for players.

@Dan54 is that USD or NZD? I can't say I'm hugely convinced on your statement anyway, I'd need to see some evidence Nonu is just in it for the love of the game and that shit hole San Diego
This from the internet
The average salary of an MLR player ranges from $30,000 to $60,000 per year. However, some top players can earn significantly higher salaries.
- Do MLR players receive any additional benefits?
While the base salary may not be as high as other professional sports leagues, MLR players often receive additional benefits such as housing, medical insurance, and travel expenses.

Don't know what it is mate, all I know is the salary cap says stars can't get over 45grand. I know Nonu is there , but no way would he get a super contract either.

So @Dan54 is just making shit up, cheers @Chris @gt12
How long is the season?
Mate I get the info off web, so maybe that was naking it up, but with a salary cap of %00 grand ain't leaving much room for big money, unless you a fromer test player atc.

Where did you get it? Because others seem to have got completely different off "the web".

Why do we have a whole thread about McClutchie anyway? I don't even think the likes of Richie or Dan had their own threads on the Fern. McClutchie must be doing something right.
