for all the celebration of suddenly shakey City
I'll reserve judgement until de Bruyne comes back, apparently this month
I don't think anyone doesn't rate City, just think if you were going to have a chance against them, now is your moment. Especially given they dropped points previously this year in similar circumstances.
Clearly they're a different beast full strength

What a disgusting decision, especially considering a team like Man City can flaunt the rules and get off scot free
City and Chelsea are both facing charges (City are facing 115 charges, vs the 1 that Everton has just been found guilty of). So I think the real test of the decision will come when those cases are resolved and what kind of penalty they'll get. If 1 charge is worth a 10 point deduction, 115 would be relegation at a minimum you'd think. Here's hoping the EPL have the guts to do that.
I'd prefer they lost any cups/ titles they won in the year relevant to the charge.

Incredible games yesterday.
Liverpool's 4 goals are as good as you'll see anywhere on the planet. Huge credit to Fulham who gave a storming account of themselves. Chelsea ground out a 3-2 over Brighton in a match which included a 40th minute red card & then a penalty given at 98 mins, only to be overturned by VAR. Lastly, Spurs / City played out an absolute classic with the ref having a bit of a shocker at the end to not allow play to continue with a braking Grealish.
Storming day of Football.
Spurs are so risky in their passing out from the back. It cost them 1 goal but could have cost them 3 or 4. Like their courage though. City get De Bruyne back soon, should help them.
Premier league is great. Fantastic games every week in packed out stadia. It’s what rugby could only dream of.

They probably wouldn't give it to the second placed team which is unfortunate. It would be a hollow victory anyway

Luton at home have been tough (unlike away), I think this may have been the first time someone has put more than 2 goals on them in a game at home this year.

I think Rice is going to be a complete failure at Arsenal. There is no way he's worth 105mm & the pressure of it will tell.
Declan Rice could you please stop making look like an idiot that knows nothing about football?
I'm quite capable of doing that on my own.
-
Well that certainly helped Fulham's GD. 10 goals in our first ten games. Now 11 in the last three? Mitro who....
It was getting a bit nerve wracking with our run between the international breaks, but as long as we keep beating the teams we are expected to and pick up the odd result elsewhere - which is what we are doing - and don't sell Palhinha in January, we will be fine.
-
@dogmeat certainly a good win, I will also happily take the away win at Palace!
Our goal difference is ruined from our start to the season though
-
Fantastic win for AV. They were superb in all facets. City looked toothless. They have 3 points from last 4 games.
-
@Billy-Tell six points behins Arse now too as they drop to 4th.
Still favourites for title but at least the race should now go beyond February
-
well my tab account certainly liked the Villa win as well. Think the suspension was only for that game so won't be backing against City on the weekend

I think a lot of people thought he was not worth 105 as he does not stand out like a Viera. But he makes an impact and without him Arsenal would be a mess. Level headed, humble and it is hard to root against him. Has he played a bad game for Arsenal? Should be captain really.

I remember my mates at the beginning of the season giving me funny looks when I said Villa would finish in the top 4. Obviously still a long way to go and we don't have the depth to challenge for the title or anything like that, but we certainly have the squad for a top 4 finish.
Bailey killed them on that right flank, finding acres of space in that pocket that City like to leave open, Kamara cut everything out which stifled their attack and made life easier for Torres and Carlos, and McGinn was everywhere at bothe ends of the park as usual. One of the most underrated players in the league. Villa would be a lot weaker without him.
Roll on Arsenal.
-
@African-Monkey I would hope that Arsenal is more of a threat down the wings than City were.
-
@Bovidae They will be. I think Konsa and Carlos breathed a sigh of relief when Grealish and Doku were out today, and Arsenal tend to play with a bit more width. Havertz scoring some goals will also strengthen that side of the park with Martinelli, and Saka being Saka will always be a threat.
