A lot of locals care. That grandstand had a huge historical meaning to them. And it's not up to the Hurricanes to decide what happens to that ground as they don't own it. That's up to the people who manage the Mangatainoka Domain.

So the Canes will again play a game in that hellhole in Palmerston North in 2024. Meaning that we will at best get a preseason game, unless another franchises gives us one of their home games (MP?).
We can’t have you non important provinces getting more then 1 game out of Wellington…Napier and Palmy being in yearly rotation seems utterly stupid why can’t they take two games to the provinces would more then likely make a bigger profit then a mediocre turn out in Wellington.

After missing most of 2023 with injury, Ruben Love has just come back from an extended pre-season in Australia looking in great nick. Hoping he has a massive season for us in 2024.
