Do you think LH will start in the top side? WJ on the wing?
really good question LH on the wing or bench I think, WJ will start at FB but other way around would work as well.
That would give the Crusaders a very good goal kicker with Burke out for a while. -

I could C Havilli at 10, midfield pretty well covered, until he returns
Yes I think so with McLeod and Amua the MF
I hope Havili has improved as a 10 since the last time I saw him there. He looked like a player playing out of position.

@Chris If they stick with the plan of Big Tamaiti playing tighthead, then Kershawl Sykes-Martin would be a reasonable guess.
But, I suspect that plan might be be quietly shelved.
If they go with a tighthead - maybe Seb Calder?
Yes I think you are spot on one or the other

Looks like leading questions.. but this articles suggests Halfpenny could be used at 10
Seems unlikely
-
Well this was out of leftfield.
Seems very unlikely they'd use ½p at 10. But he'd be a great guy to have around as a squad player, mentor for younger guys etc.
And I believe he has coaching ambitions, so presumably there'll be some arrangement in place for him to get involved in that side of things.
Plus, after his 3 year stand-down period, he should be eligible for the ABs for the next world cup.

We could call it revenge for the Shane Howarth fiasco. Same position even !

Poor fellow. Well at least he's had a mighty fine success rate of getting into the ABs considering the % he is injured.

His reputation could rival Ethan Blackadder in 2024 if he plays his cards right.

Yeah, I was thinking it was retarded for crusaders to pick up halfpenny with the back 3 players they have available, what a colossal waste of NZR time and resource.
But if it helps Jordan refine his game to more than just freakish running, it could be worth it.

They look like they have made some handy signings. Who is Sam Whitelock's replacement, very big shoes to fill. What is happening with Harford looks like no one has given him a contract. Really hope we settle on a good 10 as it could be problematic.
Tahlor Cahill likely to be the young lock they bring in now Sam’s departed

What is the story with Finlay Brewis? Is he on the long term injured list or does the story that he's too injury prone have legs?
From the gaps the other Chris identifies - Will Gualter would be an option to pick up the injury cover slot for Ennor. He was short term cover for the Crusaders last year.
I liked the look of Seta Baker in the NPC - still got plenty of rough edges, but he wouldn't be a bad option as a seventh loose forward.
Not much idea about another lock. Antonio Shalfoon probably the best option of any unsigned Mako, but he's never screamed Super player and seems a bit injury prone as well.
