Fury vs Usyk contracts are signed. Fury suggesting Dec 23rd as a possible date

Of course Fury has that other fight this week.

Fury has been pretty dismissive of the current heavyweight scene but you wonder if he fears a massive, awkward, southpaw hard hitter ?

I have to hand it to Fury, I thought he was more of a canny dancer with great agility for such a huge man but he's also proved he's pretty durable.

going to be an interesting fight ,

Usyk is technically close to perfect and a southpaw ,and fury has had issues with them

Fury is no slouch technically himself and a monster of a man size wise,

Interesting how a heavyweight at 6 foot 3 and just over 100 kilos is considered small in modern times

Yeah that’s more or less how big guys like Ali, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Cleveland Williams, Ron Lyle etc were.

in Rumble of the Jungle Ali was 6 '3 and 98 kilos George 6'4 and 104 . usyk was 6'3 and 100 kilos against joshua,

So he is like a throwback in some regards.

I guess its comparable to all other contact type sports , if you looked at the allblacks then compared to now, you would see a similar thing , maybe even more so , some of the forwards are monstors now .

Skill level isn’t as good as it was.

But Fury would have the size and awkwardness to trouble any heavyweight in history I reckon

You get a sprinkling of guys that have been good since those eras , the main difference at heavyweight ( other divisions are still strong ) there isn’t the depth there once was, due to the American scene disappearing .

Fury dropped in round 2 by ngannou,

But starting to take control in the middle rounds , overall a sloppy display by Tyson considering the level of his opponent

According to the stream I’m watching Ngannou is winning and Fury needs to step it up ?

What a kick in the arse it’ll be for boxing if Ngannou does it ? Wow.

Fuck, interested in reading more about this one.

I mean, I’m a Fury fan but this stream made it sound like he’d fucked it completely.
