Well, the Crusaders will have a coach next year, so that'll make things interesting :)

The Chiefs will be trying to find their way to the stadium from Firecats...

So you are predicting the Crusaders title drought to continue at least 6 more years?

No - now that Toddy's humbly let things slide to the point that we've only won one-third of the Super competitions, I gather Hamish Riach has saved enough money to build an extension to the trophy cabinet and Razor is under orders to get things back to 50% - coincidentally, by 2022.

Ah - but, we still have a chance at winning a Super 18 title - unlike those who couldn't fill their boots during the elite comps.

There were six less teams in those comps , we were waiting for a decent challenge.

I don't think anyone apart from canes4lifw was ever going to take this thread seriously.

Now that the Canes have got the monkey off their back there is a very good chance they could go back to back.

They will only get stronger with the pending return of Nehe Milner Skudder and Broadhurst coming back into the fray next season.

Boyd and Plum only have a few spots left to fill, though most signings haven't been released I'd expect the squad would look something like this next season:

Props:

- Loni Uhila

- Reggie Goodes

One of them is easy to find : it's Nr.8 where Vito is leaving.

Assuming that they haven't already filled the position in the seven months since Victor announced his leaving in January, then you could be right.

Unlike British football signings, rugby signings are not announced immediately.

I think the Hurricanes could develop an aura over the next couple of years.

while they totally deserved their victory and are a good side , I dont see them as being head and shoulders better than the other NZ sides ,

Things clicked at the right moment for them , like it it did for the highlanders last year ,

I see another close race coming again , with the team hitting form into the home straight taking it

I think what the rugby sevens is showing us is that the Canes have used up about two decades of rugby joy and, as a result, the rest of us are to be inflicted with their misery deficit.

Olympic silver medallist Niall William's brother is out of the Rugby Championship and that's a harbinger of the doom about to befall us. An early loss, then Hansen will get confused and try to fix things by breaking the cardinal AB rule of "No more than three Canes on the field". Before we know it we'll be camping at the poultry farm looking for tactics and waving goodbye to the Bled.
