@Yeahtheboys most likely,

Just read a piece in Stuff by Aaron Goile on the Talea sanction and referencing previous incidents “ What is interesting to note is that on all these occasions, the All Blacks have gone on to win their tests following the incidents in question – 33-10 against Argentina in Auckland in 2011; 21-11 against South Africa in Dunedin in 2012; 34-13 against the Pumas in La Plata in 2014; 57-15 against the Springboks in Durban in 2016”
OMG it’s an omen, they are not only going to beat the Irish …their going to thump the cocky green bastards!
-

So hang on, in order to beat the Irish this weekend do the ABs need to drink more or less ?
Yes
Your assuming grog was involved

@Yeahtheboys lol I don’t think George has a source. He’s just a wind up merchant.
If Roigard was in that group Fozzie would have used that excuse as to why he got dropped, but he didn’t so it’s therefore B.S.
Not necessarily. Now I can’t confirm this story but the way I look at it, if Roigard was out he was never going to start and only MT is in that category.
Even if he was in bench consideration, bench players are rotated so there isn’t a need to say more than is needed. Likewise Sami T

Who the hell calls it ‘grog’ in this day and age ?

This thread is really confusing. Apparently, there is an Auckland School called Grammer. Apparently Blackadder can spend 2 years out of the ABs with injury, nurse himself back to health, abstain from booze, and get kicked out of the QF for returning late one night: one giant teetotalling, injury replacement foodbill. And to cap it off, he was selected for his dedication and tireless workrate. What a jagged little pill to swallow!

I guess he just didn’t fit in with the rest of the alcoholics in the squad. They frowned when he said no to bourbon on his cornflakes each morning

I don't know anyone who calls it that, so it must be fun sober people.

Obviously the drinking part is all speculation, these guys coulda been to a movie, dinner, top golf etc and just been late to breach the rules.

Think you’re being generous mate. Surely if you go for dinner and you’re going to be 30mins late cos you can’t get an Uber, you flick a quick text to Foz and you’re still in the selection fold?
Either they were really late, out of contact, or on the booze I reckon
Or, maybe Foz was always going to play LF for this game and the curfew is a ruse. Maybe Foz even had LF get skinned by that Uruguayan just to mess with the Irish heads, the same way he’s been playing Roigard lately.
So much powder
