Agree completely. The tournament already loses momentum as a function of basically only playing at the weekends (for understandable physical recovery reasons).
God save us from shit administrators
From Thursday 14 September through to Sunday 08 October we had the following (match days in bold)
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
13 match days in an 18 day period
If that's just the weekend in your world then I want your job

@mariner4life Wales and England very similar for me i.e. "Oh if we just play rugby that covers the basics, and work to our strengths, we'll win games."
Profound.
They can do exits and gain useful territory through efficient kicking? It's a round of applause from me...

Fair point, it hasn’t felt like that. Maybe that’s ITV4 as the problem, maybe it’s more that there just aren’t enough competitive games.
I’m an absolute sport addict, who spends too much time reading, thinking and talking about sport. Yet somehow I didn’t know that the AB game was last night, that it was on ITV4, until half time when I noticed the Fern thread blowing up.
I didn’t realise the England vs New Zealand CWC game was happening until the night before.
The publicity around both tournaments in the U.K. is incredibly poor.

So the QFs are:
France v South Africa
Ireland v New Zealand
England v Fiji
Wales v Argentina/JapanWhich refs do which game?
O'Keeffe gets the first one me think
Barnes will do All Blacks
Peyper to do England
Gardner to do WalesFiji still have to beat Portugal don't they?

Message to all commentators, you do not need to refer to every teams bench as a “bomb squad”. It’s just a bench, they’re just reserves
As you alluded to in the other thread the Irish commentator ( who thankfully I’ve never heard before ) was so cringeworthy.
I think the worst was when he went on about Duhan Van De Merwe finally getting a chance to free up his massive thighs.

They don't need to win. A Bonus point will suffice.

Seriously, at a time where we need to spread the word, WR wants to pull up the drawbridge
The issue isn't World Rugby, the issue is the rights holders.
I'm sure WR would be very happy to see videos posted all across social media but the problem is that the rights holders see that as people getting for free what they've had to pay for. The rights holders are all very traditional media enterprises and until they get a bit of a clue, it's really out of WR's hands.

@Nepia I think Tonga's and Samoa's main issue is the coach. The teams look badly coached.
I'm firmly of the view that the adminstration around teams makes a huge difference. PI suffer from this. Crusaders have it as a large part of their success. ABs used to be excellent, but NZR has shat the bed and the competitions quality has followed it down. WR is a shambles, and so are large elements of the international game.
Good adminstrators in the PI would be awesome to help bring them up to competitiveness.
