Sitting in a pub in Paris hoping they show the game and that I'll last until at least kickoff time with my god-awful French not leading to me being kicked out.
Tip No.3 for non-French speakers in France: If they can't understand your English it's because you aren't speaking loud enough.

Disciplined tight performance please - preferably one that takes the officials (and Italy) out of the game...
-
@Mattasaurus yeah I think discipline is a massive thing for us, sort that and it will flow into the rest of our game, too loose there, means everything else is off.

Particularly with Matthew Carly on the whistle..... anything short of good discipline will be incredibly costly.

@Mattasaurus its a shame really, he is a talking point before the game, lets hope he isnt still after

Confirmed. No late changes to team!
-
surely Ardie has to be more than 95kg?
-
As a South African I was reminded this week of 2019 when the Springboks lost to the All Blacks in the opening game and then beat Namibia 57-3 in their 2nd game. Their next game was against Italy and the whole week there was this hype around the much improved Italian team and how the game against Namibia meant nothing and how Boks weren't clicking, etc., and we all had this nervous tension about losing against Italy (AGAIN!)... final score was 49-3 for the Boks.
Here's hoping we see the same tonight from the All Blacks!

Must be, with his height that would make his BMI less than 20!
-
15 previous meetings between these sides with an average 50 points win margin by NZ. That's not going to change tonight.

Still has work ons but for me needs to be in the mix.
I've made the point before, but it shits me how you have to be perfect to make the squad, but once you are in you can make as many errors or have as many work ons as you want. You just need to get there, then she's apples.
If you are in the AB squad, then Super form means jack shit. If you are in the AB 23, then even test form doesn't matter week to week
The old saying “ it is harder to get out of the team than it was to get in” was and still is applied to the Oz cricket team
Oz cricket team is all about toeing the party line, and elite mendacity dressed up as elite mateship. Cricketing ability less important.

Let’s not get carried away.

Haven't been this nervous for a test against Italy before...
-
@Mattasaurus I'm not nervous at all, most of me sees this for what it is, a decent hitout...a small part of me wouldnt be surprised if we stumble
