RWC Week 3: Georgia v Portugal
-
The Portuguese 10 has talent. But he really needs to work on his kicking out of hand.
-
Georgia are really one dimensional. The Portuguese backs are great.
-
Savage in goal defence
-
Geez the Portugese have some wheels out wide and move the ball really well.
-
A draw would be a fair result.
-
Great game between fairly evenly matched sides.

Better skills than most Australian super rugby franchises

That aged presciently.

With heartfelt apologies to all Georgian and Portuguese who may read thisโฆ I really thought it was a fair result... But obviously any draw blows chunks
-
So what, in a RWC they have a draw, no golden point BS?

Portugal should be in the 6N. Right?
There is some irony in this comment if you look at the history of European U20 rugby, and what happened when this generation of Portuguese players started beating some 6N U20 teams about 5 years ago.
They scrapped the comp and pulled up the ladders.

My favourite match so far. Was great to see a couple of the lesser teams really give it a go.
Iโm a bit of a closet Georgian fan and have admired the fact that they have been able to make every RWC since 03.
Portugal have some pace out wide and in the middle and I was surprised with how their forwards held their own for large parts of the game against a more fancied Georgian pack.
In all fairness Georgia choked and had more opportunities to both extend a lead and win it in the end.
