RWC Week 1: England v Argentina
-
Part of the problem is New Zealanders will watch this game and be dismissive of England and how they are playing. We will completely ignore our own faults and refuse to learn from other countries because they are boring and because we feel we play rugby much better. The result is we will continue to lose game after game, with the odd exception when we get an open game.

But Fossie should be watching .... basic shit - territory game , make your tackles and kick your penalties - if these Muppets can do it....
No, our players are the absolute muppets who fall apart when they face adversity.
F*** me fellas this is a Pom/Puma game thread. The world rugby doen't revolve around ABs even if we want it too.

Please put the above on the Fern front page!
It hits the nail on the head.

Rugby totally void of any adventure, flare or the art of putting a teammate into space.
David Campese will be turning in his graveHe’s not dead yet.

Argies are a simple team to defend against.

Argentina have been so bad they should have negative points.
Makes the AB performance at Twickenham a week or two ago look professional.

Awesome work by the commentator telling me ALL the overnight scores.
Saves me watching the games with any degree of uncertainty.
Dickhead.
That’s a you problem
Respectfully disagree. You wouldn't think it would be hard given not everyone can watch everything live. First world problems.

I am happy to be critical of this sort of game - not dismissive - would love to see the penalty count too.
But as others have said its effective and simple - and in my opinion an awful spectacle.
not surprised its a French Ref involved either - that said, its hard to disagree with many of the penalties - a few 50/50s and scrum calls could have potentially gone the other way but that's nothing unusual.
Pumas have been exceptionally poor with basic skills and options - and the English have been simple and effective playing territory and taking the points on offer.
