Are the All Blacks in their alternate strip for this one? I vaguely remember an article RE home team assignments etc but can’t remember the result

Nah ABs are in black. Darren "Hand" Shand won a coin toss.

@KiwiMurph sure is, although I expect there has been alot of work done in the last 9 days on scrummaging and having a full pack will no doubt help, ball in ball out, no fucking around we should be sweet.

Frogs aren’t the same without Baille at LH. Wobblies bossed them in scrum.

9pm is a typical start time in Europe for rugby and football

For example, majority of champions league matches start at this time.

To elaborate on my above comment: we found good form on the EOYT, and we've continued that by smacking Argentina, SA and Aus in consecutive games when it mattered this season.

Far too much is being made of the warm up game. SA were out for blood, after the cards do you really think we were going to risk injury by trying to match their physicality, especially when they had a 7-1 split? Not a chance, we've got this game and the quarter to prepare for.

We're on an upward climb at the moment and France have some pretty key injuries. All of the pressure is on them.

    Bring it on!

Their cup, their rules. Plus 9pm is better viewing time here.

This. I much prefer the 9 pm kickoffs in France to the afternoon starts in the UK for us.

Nothing would be more Foster than that, and a QF exit

    @Crazy-Horse
we can play 5 wingers in the QF though that is a bonus.

When have we ever been exposed up the kazoo with lightweight, out of position, or injured, forwards? I ask no one in particular..

Even though he was part of the collective Barrett whanau shitting the bed last match I fucking hope he's right for this match and we don't go into it with Havilli.

Yeah I picked abs by 1-8 , same as been mentioned , heart not head.

France is actually a team I enjoy watching, if we can’t win the tournament I hope they do.

They are the only other allowable option.

I don't know what bullduster means, but too many negative Nellie's on here, we have a team that can win it and we're in good form. Be excited!

I also love comments like "we will only win the cup if we get really lucky". Such a nothing comment, if we don't win then it's "I told you so" and if we do it's "we got lucky". Psh to that, luck plays a role in every knockout tournament. Put your balls on the block and make an actual call.

    You around in 2003?

Bulldusta was a poster who went all in on the ABs crushing the away legs of the Tri Nations. Given there were plenty of us, err them, picking that Mitch's Voyagers were about to get smashed. Super enthusiastically so.

    "Just trust me."

Man was right. Ran up fiddy in both games.

Didn't hang for the RWC though ...

    Edit: was that 2007?

Name a winner other than 1987 that didn't have their fair share of luck.

@booboo Was he around at the same time as the guy who used to post things like "Australia will win because the players are just so muscly, muscly, muscly, muscly!"?

@Tim don't recall that. And I need to look up when those matches happened, because I don't think I was Ferning in '03 ...

    Off to Google.
