France v Australia -

France with the expected win
But in a month’s time Aus will be tough to beat
-
Eddie had a really good game plan to compete with and really challenge France
Accuracy has killed Australia’s chances
-
Fabulous from Penaud
But once again off unforced errors from Aus
Fra 38-12 Aus
75 mins -
Great try
He deserved that
Been dangerous all match
Fra 38-17 Aus
77 mins -
Discipline for the Aussies will be key to not keeping teams in the hunt that they should easily beat.
-
And that’s it
Fra 41-17 Aus
Full timeHighly entertaining but Australia made France look far better than the score line suggests
-
@MiketheSnow something theybhave done alot this year

The players we have come from a shallow system, so little things aren't punished.

France too efficient. Poor Aussie goalkicking. The commentator really grated me with his inaccuracy and constant references to stuff irrelevant to the match we were watching.
Did not like the way the officials ran this match. Tmo involved too much. They seemed desperate to find a way to rule out Vunivalu try. It worries me how much crowd reactions and player gamesmanship and histrionics will impact on results. -
Only saw the 10 min highlights but caught a couple glimpses of Aussies putting a body on Dupont at every opportunity, even to make him one step slower.
Would love to see a team run a tag on him to see how it played out. When he got to the breakdown they could just step onside. Crazy, I know.

Irish comm gets both Aussie wings wrong all the time, "Nawaqinitawase" or some variation of that that's way worse and "Vulivulivalu"
I was going to post that I hope we aren't subjected to that Paddy commentator during the RWC. He's always been annoying, and seemed to want to talk about the NZ-SA game more than the game in front of him.
The other guy was calling Gordon McDermott all game.

My problem with the refs, ARs and TMO is that they still ignore/miss such obvious things. Take the eventual penalty against Kellaway for that high tackle on Villiere. Before the TMO got involved there was a likely knock-on by Villiere, who then tried to stop Petaia scoring while on the ground. And the AR is standing right there!
As to the game, Ramos and Villiere are poor defenders so I hope Foster and Schmidt have a game plan to attack that flank. The French scrum doesn't look so great without Baille.

A couple of those were let go I noticed. Player on the deck grabbing the ball.
Also in the first quarter Pearce came down hard on France for not putting everyone onside from a kick. At least twice in the last quarter he let it go. I get that material effect applies, but offside is offside, and consistency is paramount.

and discipline/concentration? Maybe Australia-like NZ-lack some ironhard commanders out on the field.

Shaun Edwards will be fuming
3 tries conceded and Australia could easily have had 2-3 more
In tandem with that, Eddie must be happy that Australia were able to break the french defence time after time
If only Australia could have applied more scoreboard pressure this match could have been a lot closer

Winning lineouts and catching the ball would've clued Australia's opponents to their plan to score more points.
