Canterbury vs Wellington
-
@KiwiMurph if I were the Blues ,that’s where I would be looking
-
@Steven-Harris no chance. He’s signed up.
-
@Stargazer 100% he can play both adequately.
-
Wellington extend their winning run. Awesome performance from a young team.
-
Great game of rugby. Think these two and Auckland look to be quite comfortably the best three sides in the competition.
As for Jono Bredin, I'd give him a big fat D. Let the game flow, but missed plenty, and had some of the bizarrest interpretations I've seen in a long time.
-
@KiwiMurph still got Perenara, Savea and Aumua to come back aswell. In a great position, but I’m sure they won’t get ahead of themselves.
-
@Canes4life not sure J Savea is much use these days
-
-
@Canes4life And Southall. He was very impressive.
-
Going back to Higgins, thought PUJ was also outstanding today, and in theory that is the Canes backup midfield. Add to that Sullivan, and realistically one of them if not two will have to be out the door by 2025. Supposedly PUJ was heading to the Landers, but that all went very quiet.

Excellent game. A join to watch
Final result
Wellington B 36
Canterbury 31Higgins has a VG game and must start at 2nd 5 going forward. Class player. PUJ is a much better center than 2nd 5 but Proctor has the position locked up. Lakai was everywhere and over-all this forward pack went well.
The key though is we might have found the starting 1st 5 and HB. Morgan is just too up and down. And he hinders not helps skillful backline play. Canes and Wellington took a punt and it hasn't worked out. I just hope he isn't signed for another year as he needs to be let go.
Canterbury just looked out of sync for some reason. Maybe it's the Ellison defense. So, 5 out of 5. A great start to his head coaching career
