@frugby The radio commentators also regularly expressing their surprise about his decisions.
I've no horse in this race, but it has been a shocker from Bredin. Wellington getting every call, I think they'll win the game at this rate. Several potential turnovers turned down to Canterbury, and then a Wellington bloke puts his hands straight on the ground and gets the penalty.
-
@frugby The Magpies have been at the receiving end of his bad calls in games against Taranaki in more than one game. Disallowing tries that were clearly scored; awarding tries to Taranaki that were clearly not grounded. Not following the TMO or not even consulting the TMO when he should. There are many examples.
-
Nothing wrong with that try.
-
@Canes4life To be fair to Canterbury, Wellington are getting all the decisions which is allowing them to play the rugby. I'm not saying Wellington have been bad, because they've been good, but there have been tons of penalties not given which should have been. Hard to play rugby when you can't get to the right part of the field.
-
Lol can Sam Clarke sign for the Canes and can we drop Morgan.
-
@Canes4life I hope it's Flanders, but they will probably play him out of position again.

@frugby Wellington are dominating. Off course they are going to get more penalties because we are on the foot the whole time.
I'm not talking about the penalties awarded - there hasn't been that many... I'm talking about the breakdowns, where I think Canterbury will be feeling rightfully aggrieved they haven't been rewarded, but as I say, it is quite funny to see them on the wrong side of it for once.
Wellington the better side no doubt, they've got some really good things going on up there, thought Southall was terrific.
-
@Stargazer they are probably the two best 8s in the comp. Good selection headache to have.

Some good 8s rolling about. Lio-Willie, Grace, Sotutu, Sowakula and Ioane not too bad either!
-
Wellington have a pretty inexperienced bench so I expect the Cantabs to come roaring back late.

@frugby calm down. Wellington are playing all the rugby atm. Canterbury are the ones that need to turn the momentum.
19-5. HT Wellington B are clearly the better side so far. Could have scored another 3-4 tries (unsure what was wrong with the last one)
The backline is functioning well now. PUJ looks better at centre. But the HB, 1st, 2nd combination while not perfect (far from it) is far and away better than the (shit) one last game Poor kicking aside but at least the attack is first rate. It's a joy to watch. Last game vs Ta$man it was dreadful. As bad as it gets.
-
@Canes4life Except the frontrow. Canterbury's frontrow is greener than Wellington's.

I think you're right, the only question is whether they'll have too much to do. Next points are crucial, if Wellington can score next, even if it is only a penalty, they might be too far gone to be caught.

Not watching the game but that ain't going to stop me passing on my wisdom, but I am approaching 20 years on the Fern and the entire time Canterbury and the Crusaders have been favoured by the refs. It was good while it lasted I suppose.
