All Blacks vs Springboks - Twickenham

@taniwharugby yes boneheaded. No video evidence that the impact was head but cleaning out a guy on the ground is never a good look. But against that is I have never thought of Scott as dirty player. Just someone that hits hard, runs hard, has a huge motor, creates momentum with whatever he does. Sometimes in a contact sport played at high speed, it goes wrong. I think some of the the comments about players intelligence and intent on here miss the mark - but understandable when we lose 😀. Generally I would say there are very few dirty players or even dirty actions in todays game - the guys know each other. However, we do want all the players to improve technique and make good decisions so he will add that to the things he needs to work on. Still my favourite Barrett by some distance.

3 red cards in 4 years? Just unlucky?
He hits more rucks, and looks to dominate in a contact sport better than anyone else in NZ. The reason he gets those is by the nature of the game - rucks and mauls where his job is to clean and dominate tackles. You cannot play tough in todays game and not get cards. Just wish the rest of our forward pack were as good.

@nzzp slow learner...
Concrete technician is the official term I think according to @mariner4life

Yep we need some hard hitting forwards not powder puffs, give me Barrett over Vai any day.
We will get muted in the WC if we don't stand up and be physical and hit hard back.Bit of bad luck for Barrett pushed over for the 2nd yellow and the first a team yellow.
Still he has to be smarter to be fair. -

If the ABs do play the Boks in a knockout game - then in the days leading up Foster needs to front up to the media and go on the offensive about their players time wasting. And then Cane needs to get at the ref aggressively before the game has even started.
Nice guys will finish last in the next couple months.
Absolutely agree.
It's like they want to win the prize for the nicest team.
Fozzie and Sam - the noble losers. For South Africa - their borderline offside defence.
For Ireland - their decoy runners causing obstruction.
For France - their hairy arm pit women. -

And I'd to see some video of how Lomax was hurt.
A slim chance of banning any of those Bok forwards would be great!Banning boots I think. How do you get a cut that deep that early in the game from a boot.

Don’t think a father should show favouritism there Kev

I assume it was accidental.

Absolutely but the boots must be dangerous to do that

Here’s a picture of Tyrell Lomax’s knee just after the impact. Warning: not for the squeamish.
Anyone got a video of the incident?

Foster is an absolute fluffybunny, I hate him so much as a coach. The worst, by quite some margin, of any ABs coach of a decent period of time, with so many shitty records to his name. And he can't own up when his team puts what is objectively the worst performance ever in black
"I think both teams deserve a lot of credit, they put a lot into that game and it was a great spectacle."
What the actual fucking planet is he on? In what way do the ABs deserve credit? For bending over and taking it hard without lube?
"So, I’d rather have those lessons today, a couple of weeks out than in a fortnight"
Except they are the same lesson the ABs have been getting since c2017 and you and your fucking bunch of numpties have not learned. STOP FUCKING KICKING ANYTHING BUT LONG IN YOUR 22. Even just that would improve their performance, and the fact it is done every single match means it is your fucking idea. Earn the right to go wide, paly off nine some times, and stop picking obviously past it players. Get a captain with some fucking personality (I know that would just show him up).
Jesus, I can't wait until next year, a coach with a proven record as head and something beyond the personality of a fucking turnip
yes I have been drinking

Also, speaking of past it players
Inevitably, coming off the back of a loss last time out is fuelling some of the fire in the All Blacks camp.
“Absolutely,” Barrett agreed. “That was a huge learning for us around how we didn’t get to the level we needed to and why. Of course, it’s banked. And it’s added to the library of learnings that we have sitting there.”
Sitting there, not actioned or improved upon, just sitting there
