Hurricanes v Chiefs

I hope we see a similar performance to this one by the mighty Canes. (Note Angus Gardner is refing)

Tactics. TKB will provide better defence around the fringes of the ruck, where the Canes will look to use their runners.

Yeah I get that but for some reason I am preferring Weber to get things moving
-

I'm picking it to be more like this though.

I don't understand the chopping and changing of the halfbacks.

Amazing bench!

Oh and I am really liking Sam McNicholl. Only first noticed him against Wales where he played a blinder and he keeps getting stronger in the game. Good decision maker.

You were lucky you didn't notice his cabbage early season form.

I always knew they'd bring TKB back in for this one for reasons that Bovidae mentioned above.
-

Really looking forward to this game. If there are no TMO/reffing controversies, it will be great to watch.

The weather forecast says "Showers and gale northwesterlies, easing later". So it won't be as bad as last week.

Four hours ago, the Canes tweeted that 25,000 tickets had been sold. Not a sell-out yet (capacity 34,500??), but a good crowd.
-
Not happy with Brad Webber not starting. All TKB really offers is that he is the best defensive half back in the competition. And that is fine that he is a standout tackler
but surely you should be picking your half back for his offence coordination abilities.

Some believe in the old saying "defence wins championships" -

I'm a bit worried about Coles captaining and Angus reffing. Coles has shown a sh*t attitude towards refs and Angus will be having none of that. Could have a pretty big impact on the game (if Coles is passed fit).

I'll be pretty surprised if Coles is playing - the way he was walking around the field last week didn't look like something that's going to be cured with a good night's sleep. I reckon that bracketing is just to keep the Chiefs guessing a bit.
-

I hope he does play, as he wont be anywhere near 100%.

Why are you not happy? If you think Weber is better surely you'd be pleased?
Anyway, the AB selectors rate TKB as a test player and also state that knockout rugby is the closest to tests for judging players. I'm sure the Chiefs staff have it well thought out. -

Can you explain
why I should be pleased that Webber is not starting.

Because you rate him higher and are a Canes supporter. -
