Wouldn't you have to ask someone to step down? Or deselct themself? Can't really say see you to an uninjured wainger for a loosie could you.
Mind you, a wing that can be got shot of can get full test against Boks, and maybe an injury?

The original selection was a huge fuck up wasn't it. I might be wrong but I thought until the final RWC squad submission is made, they can still make changes.

It's fucking hard and unfair on the outside back who has to be dropped though, and for that reason I don't think Foster will do it.

I don't think a decision will be made until after the SA test because if any serious injury occurred in that game another change is required.

It's a real pisser because Foster didn't select a ready-made like for like replacement in Finau or select an extra lock because it so important to have five wingers for training or something.

Barrett has to stay at lock, which probably means Jacobsen to 6.

Well personally I hope he doesn't do it, if Frizell looks too iffy and Finau has a ripper against Boks, he will just replace Frizzell. And if Finau doesn't kill it against Boks we will be happy he not there perhaps? In meantime Jacobson is ok as replacement.

They love Frizell they won't drop him if he's iffy. Jacobson to 6 vs France is most likely.

Can't see Foz rocking the boat and dropping a winger.

    Dopey selection to begin with.

the real fun begins if we lose another forward against the Boks to a 3 week type injury. Then they are forced in to a hard call just to field a team.

    I'd drop Narawa.
Telea can play 14 or 11, Jordan can play 14.

Good thing is, Bok game at Twickers is Aug. 25, whereas final submission for WC squad is Aug 28.

The prudent thing to do is to drop a winger, as unfair as that might be on the player being dropped. Doubt that Foster has the balls to make that tough call though.

well there you fucking go. you gambled and you're losing. 4 locks and 5 loosies and you're down 2 early doors already.

Looks like @ACT-Crusader was right, LF to blindside for the France game.

Interestingly Ireland only have 5 loosies in their current squad. Although they have 5 locks.

Jacobson has to line up at 6 against the Boks too, you would think.

Bit wild, getting his first two starts since 2021 in back to back matches against the Boks and then France in a WC opener.

Probably should have been given a good run earlier in the year...

In an ideal world, yes, but I think considering his injuries and head knocks the coaches have handled him relatively well..

Pretty interesting stuff. The players fought for Fozzie’s job.

    @Mattasaurus cough Hansen cough SBW.

Had Hansen stayed with RC and ALB we may have performed better. For a start, RC wouldn't have been sent off.

'I won’t be protecting anyone': All Blacks dismiss 'cotton wool' for World Cup warm up

Injuries have already changed the landscape of the Rugby World Cup, with France pivot Romain Ntamack the latest to be struck down.

He is resting Brodie and Shannon for the warmup and opener against the Boks.

They are both injured so he is not resting them.
