Big weekend for the 'G with what i expect will be damn near a full house tonight.

And there will be a decent crowd at Richmond v Melbourne on Sunday as well

    The G will be buzzing.

Not many tickets available for the Bledisloe or tonight’s rivalry clash.

3 games to the RWC and we haven't seen Leicester, Stevenson, McCleod or Finau.

Leicester = injured, Stevenson = not in squad, McLeod = really only there to cover ALB missing, Finau = cruelled by the fact Frizzle learned how to beat up on the field as well as in clubs.

We will see Leicester in Dunedin if recovered, might see Finau (rest Frizzle/Jacobsen shits the bed) but if ALB goes well we won't see McLeod, def won't see Stevenson

It only makes sense to me if they see Jordan as the back up fb .

For the squad - I reckon DMac is Beaudy's back-up i.e. if Beaudy gets injured, DMac slots in - they're the most like-for-like.

For this game, either Will or Jordie’s can cover fullback.

If we get comfortably ahead this week we might well see Richie subbed, Beaudy to first five and Will to fullback - allowing Fozzie to kill several birds with one stone.

I think the latter. I think we need to keep Will on the wing because his kick chase game from the wing is too good to change.

hate a player moving from 12 to 15, that's an enormous change in mindset and priorities 60 minutes in to a test match

@foobaNZ every Melbourne test match I’ve been to (every AB test since the 97 one and other Wallabies tests vs Lions etc), there have always been plenty of non-rugby followers. They love a big sporting occasion here and the G generally delivers that regardless of the sport.

Gotta feel sorry for the ground staff to have to change the posts out.

Don't bother with the rugby goals, lads. None of our kickers are good enough and the ABs will win handsomely on tries alone.

    100%

Just put Dmac on the bench.

    For this week, move Jordan.

@Kirwan It can’t be long until Eddie gets fired again from another international Rugby job.

    Like for like?
Apart from line management, standing flat, unpredictability, passing and kicking..

Debuts don't get much more challenging than coming up against the South Africans, making Williams' performance all the more impressive.

Very disappointed that there is neither a Lachlan nor a Huw in the Australian team. What ever happened to representation?

Did Eddie really say this ?

I found this on the internet but the internet isn’t always true

    Yes. He said that.

Eddie has jumped the shark. It's no longer getting indignant over.

    Lost his mojo.

    Knuckles speaks:

"“A bloody disaster mate,” Connolly says from Down Under. “How did we end up with Eddie again? He is full of it. He talks a great game but plays a terrible one. He is a charlatan, he is a failed selector. He was the captain’s pick by the chairman who just came into the job.”

“When I took over from Jones, the players were like beaten down sheepdogs,” Connolly said. “If you walked in a room they would have their heads down and were scared to do anything. There was no leadership. There was no development. It was a total void that took nearly a year to rebuild. I can’t believe we have made the same mistake again.”

Eddie vs All Blacks as head coach

    Team Years Wins Losses Draws
    Wallabies 2001-2005 5 6 0
    Japan 2012-2015 0 1 0
    England 2016-2022 1 1 1
    Overall 2001-2022 6 8 1

Is gotta be one of the best percentages ever

We were lucky to snag that one win vs Eddie's England too if memory serves - remember Perenara got charged down by Lawes who was just offside when they went to TMO so the English try was disallowed. I believe that was the game DMac started at fullback and had a blinder in the rain.

Was there. We fought back well after shipping points and then faded in the last 20.

And yes, DMac played a blinder. Ardie was pretty impressive too. But MoM was Sam Underhill for me - he had an insanely-good game.

I just saw that , by christ Knuckles hasn't missed has he?? I assuming he said it , and I didn't realise he was that anti Eddie.

Am going to the game, already getting the pre game jitters … or could be the two coffees I’ve had ..anyhoo anticipation building. Its dawned relatively fine ie blue sky for the most with abit of cloud, hoping stays that way. Watched some of the AFL game played at the G last night, looks like an awesome venue. Shelled out for the pricey tickets when Ticketek first made them available as probably one and only time I’ll attend a Bledisloe here. Unfortunately my trip partner (my brother) had to bail out last minute (morning of flight here yesterday) as has gout.. but put the offer to my son and he’s flying in from Sydney as we speak. Not ordinarily a rugby follower….have wondered at times if he may have been switched at birth… but enjoys the AB’s v Wallabies passion/spectacle. Go the AB’s !!!

My only concern for tonight is that the Fern collective appear pretty happy with the team named, which probably means they've got it completely wrong given our track record of incorrect analysis etc etc

Ooh reverse Fern jinx! Not sure how that will play out.
And given Eddie loves to fox, but also typically pours everything into beating the ABs, I am thinking we will have a torrid time.
Not sure the size of the (relatively new to each other as combos?) Wallabies pack will effectively flow into great control at the scrum though.
