    @Stargazer Tom Allen gets a start. Stats I saw said he's 1.97, 114 and age as 18. Young if correct. And a big lad .

    Lakai starting at 7 instead of 8. I think this could be his best position. Keen to see how he goes

    This could get very ugly up front we may get monstered.
    Hopefully enough ball for our backs to get the job done.

    This will be a pretty good benchmark for our future I reckon. See if we've learned anything about modern rugby over the last few years of getting monstered up front at this level.

    @MajorRage

    I don’t reckon we have the forward pack to get parity.
    My guess fast paced game to tire out the big forwards and get around them on the edges.
    That game plan depends on their skill set and who the ref is.it has failed recently,not a surprise anymore and can be shut down like the Irish have done to us.
    I would hope to see something different.

    I think he's taller than that as I noted when the team was lined up for the anthems to play Aust that Allen looked taller than Cahill, who is listed as 1.98 m. All the NZ Schools locks from last year (including Allen) were similar in height so hopefully that bodes well for the future.

    Laidlaw hasn't made too many changes, and picked the loose forward trio I was hoping for.

    Exactly. We've either learned or we haven't. Time to see.

    @Chris

    weight and height stats for the forward are impressive. Well at least the 6 I checked. Haven't done hooker and no8 yet.

    Edit. No8 is big too. Hookers a bit smaller but not short. Like 1.81 and around 105kg. Jack is easily the shortest of the tight 5 Both locks are around 1.97 and 1.98 and over 110kgs one prop (TH) is 1.94 and over 120 kgs. The other over 1.90 and lighter at 104kg

    Backrow The 8 is taller 1.90 + and over 110. Lakai is 1.86 and around 110. The 6 is shorter at 1.82 edit che Clark at 6 might be 1.90 but only 93kg

    @Winger

    How does that compare to the French pack ?
    Australia looked well drilled up front, it will be very interesting the forward battle no problems with our backs imo.

    Yes. He looked taller so checked another site. Said 1.90 and only 93kg. But likely put on weight since then. Is so it's a pack that has good height and weight

    @Chris good question. Could be hard to find out though. But NZ have some big lads in the pack.

    @Daffy-Jaffy There's a person that doesn't want more "ball in play" time.
