All Blacks 2023

I think those stats are sometimes unfair to certain players. Obviously Akira is being asked to play wider, so doesn't have the opportunity to get those high tackle stats that loosies playing a much tighter game get.
I think he looks great when he plays a tight game, but I wonder if he doesn't like to do that or is being told to play a wider game? He definitely has the power to drive guys back in close. -
Hoskins is only 24 with an exceptional skill set ,
He is young enough to come back from this , it’s all up to him and how much he wants it
-
@kiwiinmelb ... and who he's competing with.

If you ask a Saffer why they rated Reado so highly, it wasn't because of his hard shoulders! There needs to be some variety.
But he did have hard shoulders. Friggen smashed people at times.
You completely missed the point. Hard shoulders are a dime a dozen in in SA. It was Reado’s passing and linking which set him apart.
Nah, got that. Was just pointing out his especially "hard shoulders" Think I just wanted to use the new buzzword....

@Stargazer I don’t really understand the question , now it’s pretty obvious.
The future with retirements , injuries , exodus of players , who knows ?
My point is , plenty of players have missed selection and gone on to have good international careers, it’s not like he is old . Next World Cup he will be 28 .
Kaino , nonu , ardie, ben smith a few examples of players missing selections early that went ok later .

He could do a lot worse than to ask Reado for some mentoring. Counties mafia?
-
Reado a shining example of a player told to move to another position who did alright? Or was he an 8 before he was a 6 before he was an 8?
-
@KiwiMurph midfield stocks looking thinner.
ALB out for 3 weeks surely?

@KiwiMurph Jordie, Rieko, Ennor with Fainga'anuku as cover seems enough for that first test?
They may want to leave some players behind with the Boks up next only 6 days later.

Praying that Foster does 2 things this year.
- Picks on form That means play Telea, Leicester F, Narawa, Jordan 15, Scott Barrett, Richie M in big games
- Sam Whitelock and or Scooter captains

You might need to pray for 40 days and 40 nights before number 2 ever happens…
Cane will be captain this year.
-
I know. Does that mean Paps doesn't get a look in this year

Well if picking on form, Cane will be starting surely. He has consistently been the best 7 in NZ teams this year.
Though every chance Paps will get a start against Pumas, would not be surprised if a good number of players from final are not given the travel to Argentina. I would think leaving a few at home makes sense. I suspect that a front row of the likes of De Groot, Coles and Lomax will start, Laulala and Ofa will go, not sure about locks, but Paps, Frizell and Ardie in loose? Smith, ?, JB,Reiko and whoever in back 3maybe the spine of team that travels.
Just a guess. -

That is only one 2nd five. Mix is a bit off without ALB.

So with the short turnaround between the Arg and the Bok game, does this increase Shaun Stevenson's chances of getting capped?
I really hope so! Would love to see both Jordan and SS in the back three together.
