Chiefs v Brumbies
Referee: Nic Berry
ARs: Paul Williams & Jordan Way
TMO: Brendon PickerillRWC 2023 Ref Nic Berry.
IMO Consistently inconsistent and scrums will be a coin toss.. hope he doesn't adversely influence the game too much -
Does anyone else get really annoyed as soon as Kirstie Stanway starts squeaking like the ultimate fangirl? She shouldn't be in a commentary team; just in the studio.
-
That rain is not ideal for the Chiefs. They really ought to be far too good for the Brumbies here.
However I am not convinced by the Chiefs recent form. I suspect it will be closer than it should be.
-
What has happened to Webers pass - it is a bullet so far
-
Easily lost first line out is a worry
-
Lovely Stevenson
-
Good kick SS wrong option Brums
-
Coolness under pressure
-
Aimless Kicks R Us.
-
Brumbies well offside at the ruck
-
@Donsteppa TBH, they were going nowhere after umpteen phases.
-
Chiefs doing what the Blues needed to do last night - attacking close to the ruck.

Neither team really looked like breaking through.
-
Vaai watch.
3 or 4 ruck inspections, a missed tackle on Sapsford and what looked like a miss on Valetini. One halfback play.
-
Refreshing to see a nice exit
-
Brumbies will be pleased with this start. Right into an arm wrestle.

Nice or OK?
Our standards are low if a kick to 10m is an above average exit.
-
Then watches his opposing player waltz inside him.
-
Good to see a game which isn't one-sided....
-
That was a shit kick

I would say the overall stand or exiting their own 22s by NZ teams has been pretty bloody poor this whole comp.
-
@Machpants well it was well struck, just misdirected
-
Lovely exit
-
Why do players still fly into rucks well after it clear they aren't going to win the ball

No excuse not to get that, it was a gimme
-
Another couple of carries. One maybe makes two metres, the next goes backward about 3.
-
@Machpants you should try golf...

It has been dreadful. The ABs have similarly been dreadful for some time.
That was sort of my tongue in cheek point.
-
Chiefs winning the kicking game
-
This is an excellent game
-
How were those players not all off side from that kick?
-
@taniwharugby I think because Finau touched the ball, putting them all onside?
-
Has there even been a knock-on yet?
-
Yes DMac
-
Chiefs loosies working as unit well

Yes. The Curse of the Meldrew's is still potent...
-
Wow the first scrum after 18 mins. Aside from that it fumble have been impressed with DMacs wet weather play so far.
-
@Stargazer but he was 25m from the kicker, so they should have retreated and been put on side, it wasn't a charge down.....just looked wrong

Which?
If you mean the one that was played at, the playing at (and kot catching) puts them onside.
