Bazball is awesome. Declaring with under 400 on the board is ballsy as fuck

Yeah, what the fuck! Sort of have to congratulate with a hint of "what the fuck are you thinking"

I can see Aussie getting 500 then rolling the Poms in the second innings. High risk

It'll be interesting to see what Ali and Root can do as this dry wicket dries out further.

I think the entire point of Bazball is high risk. Two stumpings in the last session show that it is all about momentum and taking the Draw off the table as a likely outcome, with some rash decisions.

Look at the strike rates: everyone about 70 except Stokes and Robinson (who is a otherwise total fucking bunny). Can't do that on anything but a road.

(Cue us collapsing on this fucking road with only 300 on the board)

I can kinda understnd it - try to get wickets with fresh bowlers on a Day 1 pitch. But it's high risk.

If he'd picked up a wicket or two, maybe people would think he's a genius ... but it's aggression going over to stupidity at some point.

    Good effort from head

You have to catch that surely.

Yep but according to Tubs Taylor "he's not a natural catcher" 🙄

What the hell ???? Shouldn’t that be the most natural thing a person can do ?

    Intriguing test.

Warner to get 200, Australia all out for just under 600.

That sucks - gun bat who averages 80+ gets out to that meanwhile Marnus is about the luckiest bloke in cricket history

Just a really good start, he’ll peter out and finish about 35ish like all other Poms who are not called Root.

Would have been a great declaration if Oz had ended up 5/2 at the close of play. Suspect they might have given up 30 - 40 runs to try it, but that is Bazball...

The declaration could still pay off if Aus struggle in having to 'start again' on Day 2.

The real problem for the Poms looks to be talent - 125k Ollie Robinson doesn't look real threatening.

Marnus lazily hangs out the bat against a swinging ball and gets punished accordingly.

Might be a good morning for Smith's over exaggerated footwork. Concrete shoes haven't worked so far this morning.

@MN5 Chappell is not wrong IMO. However such tactics are hardly confined to Stokes and England.

By his facial expressions, Smith is a terrible judge of whether LBW shouts against him are even remotely valid 🙂

Great celebration by Khawaja for his ton. That one really meant something to him.
