Has it really been two years since NZ won ? It should be held every four years…….

Obviously the final that NZ was in wasn’t that “weighty” according to Karthik I can’t be bothered trying to spell his surname….

In any case, Go Australia ! There might be one or two unlikable players in the team ( certainly not Brad Haddin level but still ) but I really can’t stand India as a cricket nation and their ridiculously one eyed, obsessed fans.

Nah go India. Underarm and all that…

Whilst I don’t mind the Aussie coach and a couple of their players, I like this Indian side and how they play. Love what their fans bring to the game, sure they get a bit overexcited online, but that’s neither here nor there when you consider how they support and get to venues. The next 5 days will be no different

Bruce Edgar was the real villain in that saga.

Fancy leaving out the best bowler in the world (statistically and IMO tactically) going into a World Championship game!

So arrogant ( either that or a tactic to play all their quicks in English conditions ) I hope it bites them in the arse.

Ashwin is a serious home track bully but he isn’t exactly terrible overseas to be fair.

    Just checked the score

    Aus 327/3

    Head 146*
    Smith 95*

Cummins said he would've bowled too. Good toss to lose

Indian professional commentators sound a lot like Indian amateur fans. Complete gibber.

Not that the likes of Hayden etc are much better I suppose

Hayden gets asked specific questions but just answers with whatever bullshit just floated into his head

    Ponting is good

I'll admit I wasn't expecting him to outscore Smith by quite that much

it's not just the score, it's how fast he scores that is putting Australia in good positions really quickly
