Plenty of journos on the Fern. His name will come up soon.
Hope so, look at the difference in the forwards since he’s taken over.
-
Quite ironic Ross Filipo whose name has been mentioned as an up and coming coach,(I totally agree )was coached by Coventry at the Chiefs.
-
Just hope the Blues know what they are doing!Cant afford to lose a coach of his ability.I think all the Assistant Coaches at the Blues have done well.

Still no names as yet for coaching replacements. Really hope Scott is having is choosing his successor.
That's funny considering the negativity that surrounds Hansen supporting Foster getting the AB gig.
Maybe let the management choose? That way there might be a bit of freshness come through. -

Ok news to me but we will see.

I know nothing about Filipo as a Coach but Maddock makes me nervous.
-
@kiwi_expat Wonder if Brad Thorn is in contention for an assistant role.

@Stargazer said in Next Blues, Crusaders, Hurricanes coach discussion:
@mikey07 Yeah, I think it's far more likely that he gets a gig in Japan or the MLR.
Or join the Wallabies staff. He hasn't been that successful, but Eddie loves old league players
-
@SBW1 It's his 6th year in charge of the Reds.
As @Stargazer said, he'll probably end up in Japan or something.
-
Joe Schmidt looks like he may return to Ireland.

Maddock got some good reviews as attack coach at Bath. But was shit as HC for Canterbury he selected some real journeyman and we played shit while he was in charge.
Maybe as an assistant taking Scott Hansens role but not as HC that would not be a good choice. -

Maybe as an assistant taking Scott Hansens role but not as HC that would not be a good choice.Joe Maddock was Canterbury's attack coach for 2015/16/17 - 3 titles in a row.
I think he's a pretty decent chance of assuming Scott Hansen's role next year.

Yep then he took over as HC in 2018/2019 and Canterbury went shit under him.
As I mentioned yeah attack coach but not HC .
