Fucking stupid from Ofa
Well-reffed, I though. Not much else Ofa could do there.
He's not in control, reckless and lucky.
If the player stays upright, it is just a good tackle. It depends whether you think Ofa has time to change.
No he doesn't, because he's not in control. He didn't give himself time to change, that's exactly it.
What time is he supposed to give himself when in the space of one step the attacker dives to ground?
Come on man, it's really simple. This day and age, you can't fly in uncontrolled hoping you get lucky with the hit. I don't have a problem with the outcome in this instance, but Ofa left himself no out if that went wrong.
"uncontrolled"? You are delusional if you think players can adapt within that timeframe other than by making completely passive tackles.
Adapt within the timeframe he gave himself when he went flying in? So if he can't adapt when he goes flying in out of control, the option might be to not go flying in our of control. Or hey keep doing it until it goes wrong.
So you're arguing for players to defend on their heels giving themselves all possible time to "adapt". Thanks for the soccer mum input.
No, I'm clearly not, but you know that. You do you bud..

Anyone thought Zarn Sullivan could be a bloody good 12?
Runs good lines, can pass. Not a small lad.

He runs very direct and had a big lower body in his frame.

That didn't look right. If the defending team has to release a tackled player the attacking team shouldn't then be able to drive them forward.
They’ve come in to support their man, they’re not obliged to let him go like the tacklers are

How can a team actually legally defend in that situation?

If Sotutu's knees are on the ground (a tackle) he shouldn't be able get up again.

You can't, some tries you can't stop, that's fine

If they had realeased him, they wouldn’t have had the opportunity for a drive.
