Things that annoy you about rugby...

reporters need to step up and get decent questions
The vast majority are leading questions. The coach/player could legitimately just answer every question with "Yes"

Personally, the growing antagonism between opposing fans and partisan press. There have always been muppets, but now it seems like there's a narrative (driven by media) that somehow the opposition are cheating, the refs favour them and nothing that your team does is wrong.
This is exemplified by the 'we have a deal' penalty discussion at the end of Lions 3; so many people arguing 'it's never a penalty', 'Read was offside', etc. Just frustrating

Or more recently 'NZ players never get penalised' carry on fed by the Jaapie media.

@Jailbreak7 Apparently, a post with some numbers on GAGR's blog is a "study".

That's "social science" isn't it?

Why is it so often that referees allow tackled players to get back up to their feet (without letting go of the ball) while the tackler has completed the tackle? This seems to never be penalised in the specific situation when it's the fullback/wing chasing back to gather a kick that has gone through everyone, and the FB/wing needs to buy some time after gathering it. Annoying!
Oh, and did anyone mention mauls, especially the shifting around of attackers so that all defending players are unable to defend anymore and have to retreat in order to contest again? At any time?
Other than that, rugby is pretty good. Better than a lot of other sports, anyways.

I thought this was a really boring disappointing 6 Nations, the least entertaining or engaging I can remember in nearly 40 years of watching the tournament. Chaotic and random referring, sides with not much creativity, poor standards of defence, sides baying for penalties and cards, a lack of players with personality or charisma.
I'll watch the All Blacks games in thr RWC but I'm not looking forward to the tournament apart from that.
Rugby, what went wrong with you?

You saw what you wanted to see mate, it was a cracking tournament.
Italy, Scotland on the rise and fantastic to watch, Wales and England in chaos, France with some simply sublime rugby and the unstoppable behemoth of Irish efficiency.
Really enjoyed it.

I have to disagree. Thought both the 6Ns and SR so far have been a really big improvement on recent years - fewer hold ups, less pissing around at the scrums and rucks and some real ambition on attack.
The handling of cards in SR seems to be a big step forward and just hope it gets rolled out globally.
