Black Caps v England

Since Vettori has retired there seems to have been so many guys who can hold a bat but not actually spin the ball effectively……in no particular order Mark Craig, Will Somerville, Santner, Bracewell, Sodhi……have I missed any ?
Part rounders at best, all of them.
The one who took ten wickets in a single innings got dropped for Bracewell for crying out loud.

Ravindra Astle McConchie. Kitchen?
More of a batsman who bowls a bit

Better than a part time bowler that doesn't bat well.

Hmm I thought I was comparing to Michael Bracewell... Ravindra was same genre tried earlier and discarded.

Just a quick review of the test the other day.
Not sure if making sense, coz wine ... but ...
Loved the result.
Loves Wags.
Am taking the win.
The team playing the better cricket won.
But ...
England lost that.
Ha-fucking ha. And absolutely no sympathy.
But how many wickets did we create?
How many wickets were their idiots hitting out and holing out to the out field?
Just left a little less satisfied as we didn't blast/nick them out.
But more than happy that we played the cleverer cricket.

Bright debut for Muhammad Abbas who has big raps on him.
Should be useful in two or three years.
Yes I know his Dad Azhar I Have done some coaching with him in Auckland back in 2011/12.Muhammad was a we pup following dad around back then he must have been 7 or 8.
Good pedigree he will be an International going forward he showed natural talent back then at that young age.I was about to ask you if you have seen this fella play recently. Seems to be talked up as one of the better young players going around. Hopefully he is committed to NZ!
He will be the family is fully entrenched in NZ
He is a talented one who could burst into international Cricket at a young age.Up and coming youngsters won't get a decent shot with stars like Bracewell blocking their way
He is too young yet anyway,Probably 3 years away yet, I have consistently said Bracewell is not a test player.
Bracewell will be found out time and time again until he is dropped in the end.I’m actually shocked and disgusted that Bracewell has taken just the 45 first class wickets……in 102 matches !!!!!! Those are the figures of a part timer at absolute best ie someone who is comfortable batting in the top six ( which is not him )
Santner with 87 in 57 matches looks like Warnie or Murali in comparison.
Satnav must feel quite miffed
I think the respective figures show Bracewell is a slightly better batsman but Santner is a better bowler by a bigger margin……which is predominantly what a guy batting 8 should be ( bowler first, batsman second )
Just a waste of a selection.
My knock on Santner was that he isn't a very effective wicket taking test bowler. So we go and pick a guy who is worse, and is a lesser batter than his domestic record suggests. God help us

Joys of one run or one point in sport. Had it been a one wicket loss...! I've occasionally wondered how NZ rugby history would have gone had 2011 finished up 7 - 8 at Eden Park instead.
Or if Merths' late droppie in 1995 had gone over...
