Italy v France 6N

I've only seen highlights, but these last two/ mabie three years have to be italys best in a long long time if not ever
-
As went the U20s so too the full team
Fickou was immense
-
Under 20 games have been excellent as well
Watched the Ireland v Wales game , the first five for Ireland Sam Prendergast is going to be a star , looked like Johnny Sexton right now now but with so many more strings to his bow
Looks like he could play International rugby right now
Is very big for a first five listed at 6’4 91kgs has already played for the Leinster top side . -
Just watched the replay. Great game and Italy so close! French ill-discipline was terrible.
Italy could cause a few problems during the Six Nations, and also the RWC. Underestimating them will be seriously dangerous, because they now have a well-coached team that will punish anyone who does.
Going by what I've seen of the U20 game, Italy also have some talent for the future.

They get another crack at France at the RWC.Pity about their pool draw as if they were on the other side of the draw they would have more chance at the finals.

that first French try shows what would happen more often if those annoying snake walls were not allowed when prepping box kicks...therefore, reducing box kicks as an option.
Also, that last maul, reckon he coulda pinged the french there too (unsurprisingly, maul was a mess)

Simple law application (under time wasting). No player can join the ruck once the ball is called available and players cannot make the ball “less available” once contest is over.

Just watched unawarded Italian penalty at goal three times in slow motion. Absolutely no doubt it was over. What the hell are the touchies doing?
Yeah I was keen for another look at that, but nobody else has kicked up a fuss have they? Even the kicker didn't appear to have a problem.

When French guy caught ball he was outside line of sticks. BUT that was because the ball swerved AFTER it had crossed the crossbar.
If that had correctly been awarded Frenchies’ constant infringing would have lost them the game, given the kickable penalties at the end.
WTF have a TMO if he can’t check that?

The Italian 15 is a class attacking threat. Christiano Culleno.
Capuozzo is a gun. He was one of the top players last November and was MOTM against the Wallabies. He is a great attacker and knows how to hit the line.

Agree, but no one even seemed to question it at the time, even comms didn't remark at all. Looked dodgy as and at the time I said that went over, but assumed as everyone else was happy and no one mentioned it, I was wrong!

How fucking hard is it to put VAR tech on goalposts ffs?

At the moment they can't easily get shot clock tech running. Shot/play clocks have been used in other sports for a very long time yet rugby has to try and work out how to do it?!
Seriously though, it would be another time waster as anything that looked close would be checked. Happy for it to remain the judgement of trained officials with the option for the TMO to check on clear blunders.
