@MN5 @dogmeat not too too familiar with yes except for the obvious song. I do have a Trevor Rabin CD which is not bad. The 80s poffy hair mug shot might put someone off from listening but he is an excellent guitarist.

That deserves more upvotes than it has received IMO.

    @dogmeat

And You and I is bloody great and I loved Close to the Edge but Yes went OTT shit-burgers after Tales of Topographical Oceans. IMO.

Jon Anderson did some good stuff with Vangelis too.

@broughie I like 1980s Yes, and prefer Rabin to Howe as a guitarist. I've seen the latter twice in modern-day Yes and he seems bored on stage.

I hope @Tim realises National Radio has a Yacht Rock Special on right now

    RNZ National Live

Personally, I prefer the lunacy of Matinee Idle over the last two weeks, but someone must like Toto

As good as The Cult were (legit great band), there was a deeply shitty band from Ireland who were equally in magnitude as horrible - The Black Eyed Crowes. The cheesiest, crappiest shit imaginable. I get cringe hives even thinking about them. Horrifying. Like if the characters from Sons of Anarchy tried to form a southern rock band.

@Tim considering this is the 2nd time I've seen it (and probably what prompted the thread) that's a pretty funny typo

    I love Remedy, great track.

sorry there isn't enough blowwaved hair and synth for you

    I genuinely love the Crowes.

I’m sure that’s who you are talking about …. But from Ireland?

I would explain that my taste in music is quite eclectic. I have a particular fondness for grunge music from the years 1992-1994, as well as for the band Metallica.

    My favourite songs are:

    • "Alive" by Pearl Jam - I love the raw energy and emotion in Eddie Vedder's vocals, and the song's lyrics about feeling alive and making the most of life resonate with me.
    • "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden - I love the song's dark, atmospheric sound and Chris Cornell's distinctive voice. The lyrics, which are open to interpretation, are also quite intriguing.
    • "Master of Puppets" - I love the song's heavy, intense guitar riffs and the way the band builds up tension throughout the song. The lyrics about addiction and losing control also resonate with me.
    • "One" - I love the song's powerful, emotional lyrics and the way the band seamlessly blends heavy metal with orchestral elements. The lyrics, which are based on a novel, convey a powerful anti-war message.
    • "Enter Sandman" - I love the song's iconic guitar riff and the way the band uses different tempos and styles to keep things interesting. The lyrics, which deal with nightmares and fear, are also intriguing.

Regarding the most retarded thing on the internet I have ever seen, which was on the bottom ten thread, about ACDC, they licenced for free two of their biggest songs to a great Canadian independent movie about getting fucked up.
