finally caught up, nice end to the season...thought we might see more of a successful uprising rather than everyone just getting mowed down...but this series has stuck to a theme of the rebellion being small, it also hasn't minded leaving things unknown, how may survived the escape for example
i really wanted hammer wielding bell dude to ruthlessly hammer to either side of the stormtroopers head...but a spartan kick was cool, showed the "harmless" people weren't harmless
loved the bit where andors friend used his mums brick to smash one of the imperial officers head in...we dont know her well but i think its what she would have wanted
post credit scene was awesome and visually spectacular, i could have lived without knowing what the things were....would have almost made the empire seem more evil if they weren't anything, like they were just taken round the corner and disassembled and put back in the system....just because the empire can

I thought the same. Any excuse for a Death Star shot is good though and this was the best yet.
I guess there was meaning of sorts to it. Andor helped make the thing that killed him and helped destroy it as well.

I thought one of the good things in this story was the reminder that the rebellion was also a localised / decentralised approach to start out with. When the Empire moved into various planets there wasn’t some big coordinated action going on and locals were taking it on as it came.

To be fair, when he sold that he had story treatments that were consistent with those comments, handing off to the next generation. He was surprised/disappointed they just created their own shit.
They are slowly finding their feet, at least with the TV side of things. The movies have been a problem, but so were the prequels.
He undersold it as well, they earned back that 4B in a few years.

Second season is reported to be a bit less aimed at kids.
