Pivac doing his best Foster impression.
What the actual fuck?
LRZ arguably our best back playing his third match in a row with Australia on the horizon.
Should have started Halfpenny and brought LRZ on if needed.
Rest of the backline is good.
Cuthbert needs to show he's better than Dyer and Adams.
Adams needs to show he's fit, and hungry.
Watkin needs game time and if he has a blinder I'd be pairing him with Tompkins for the Oz match.
Is Hardy injured? Or is he being rested to start against Oz?
Gone with a strong pack because we need to. Georgia are no mugs.
Solid bench.
Wales by 10-14
EDIT
Tompkins out of OZ match - outside Test window
LRZ tooSo giving LRZ a half or so at 15 makes sense
North and Watkin will be centre partnership for Oz match barring injury so have to test it out

Georgia? v Wales? In an official test window?
Cool
Welcome to the party
We've played them 3 times in the past 6 years
18 Nov 2017
Wales 13-6 Georgia23 Sep 2019
RWC
Wales 43-14 Georgia21 Nov 2020
Wales 18-0 GeorgiaThis will be the fourth meeting
-
So LRZ playing because he can't play next week as the Australia match is outside the Test Window.
We know what Tompkins can do, so rested to allow Watkin and North to build a rapport ahead of the Australia match (Tompkins is another of our England based players, so out next week too).
Christ is injured and can't play next week (Exeter)
Dafydd Jenkins gets a go before returning to Exeter
Why no Reffell? He can't play next week (Gloucester) so would have been nice to see him get a run
The selections now make sense(ish)

@MiketheSnow What can you tell us about the two new young loose forwards Morgan and Macleod? Their stats suggest mobility over size?

Both have been very good at club level.
Morgan has been good so far for Wales
Very strong over the ball. Good ball carrier.
Macleod is arguably the closest thing to Faletau. His opportunity to prove it.

MacLeod has played very little rugby at all in the last year due to injury & hasn't played at 8 for a few years (and then only as cover).
Strange selection by Pivac here with Moriarty, Wainwright and Botham all omitted from the squad for this autumn despite being far better than Macleod at 8. -

Hope you have not been unduly influenced by the Fern!

Why is Wales playing in a black jersey and ugly green shorts? Red jerseys don't clash with Georgia's white.
It's a bit bizarre, isn't it?
-
Georgian 15 looks a bloody handy player. Excellent defence and dangerous in attack
-
Money re shirts
We are poor
-
That’s better
-
We have so many decent strike runners but continually fail to get any of them into space.
No creativity at all. -

Awful isn't it.

Next Welsh attack coach should be a league man
Backline creativity and penetration in league is light years ahead of this shit

My brother’s reply
Wheelchair rugby league has more penetration than our back play
