Afghanistan can't. Aussie can, but they need to not only win, they need to win well to get ahead of England (assuming England win against Sri Lanka).

Afghanistan can't. Aussie can, but they need to not only win, they need to win well to get ahead of England (assuming England win against Sri Lanka).
As long as our NRR stays ahead of at least one of them

They just have to not get spanked and they've likely played spoiler. Be interesting game as Aus really needs that NRR way up.

Yeah but that isn't going to happen.
Aussie will murder them. Aussie don't lose games to minnows at the end of tournaments. They generally only lose games early in tournaments.

@No-Quarter England beating Sri Lanka is no gimme though. Sri Lanka do like the SCG.

Very good performance overall, solid batting display and then our bowlers have done enough to get the job done comfortably, exactly what you want against a minnow that has already knocked over a top team.

I heard one guy on the radio this afternoon try and do the numbers and by his estimation Oz need to bat first and score around 220 and then roll Afghanistan for 80 odd.
I wouldn’t have a clue if that is right or not.
