Heart rate
-
err yeah... I've been donig loads of cycling recently (50ks in one stint the other day), not measured my resting heart rate in ages. It just came in at 48. Pretty happy with that!!<br />
<br />
(Doesn't explain though why I am still completely fooked after walking up a flight of stairs) -
Bart and MajorRage you're both in the "athlete" category. Top stuff ! xzxgood <br />
<br />
I just sneak into excellent somehow.....<br />

mine varies between 45-60, higher the day after hard exercise. I do 1-2 hours of hill intervals twice a week, and a swim......wish I exercised more. BP about 95/50<br />
<br />
Bart-do you think your extremely low fat % causes this low HB? I know you're already fit due to the rowing. Well done xzxgood -
50bpm - have just knocked off a 500ml can of V too!! have been running regularly for the last several months so quite happy to see my resting heart rate is lowish. Have def noticed that recovery post run is waaay quicker in the last month or two, always a good sign of increasing fitness

I took mine after a fathers day feed over the weekend while lying on the sand at Eastbourne and the bugger had snuck up to 78 !!!! sheesh thats got to be a concern. Hard work digesting my bread rolls and pastrami ( and a couple of beers eusa_whistle ) perhaps ? -
MN5 maybe you're part lizard and the heart rate was up to distribute that sunshine faster!! then again if you're a father then kids are likely to add a few extras to your bpm... in fact you probably don't even have a 'resting' rate anymore!

Perhaps I was on edge that he was gonna pinch my food, that may have been it ! lucky for me he was more interested in eating the stones and bits of wood near us.... -

Back to a much more normal 63bpm just now so that is a relief. Weird how different factors affect it so much. -
50bpm again today... got a couple of deadlines coming up so I think heart rate and blood pressure are due to climb shortly tho!
-
Now - 60<br />
Resting - about 44-48 usually. I do a fair bit of cardio, but less in the last few weeks. Resting used to be 42 - like to get back to that, same as my age now.<br />
Got more body fat than Bart though! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> -

I took mine and was about 63, I clearly have a long way to go to match you barely humamoid creatures.
I want to take mine in the morning when I wake up, that should be as low as it goes I would expect. but I always forget - alarm goes off, I automatically up and down to kitchen, jug on, start preparing coffee before gym! Sleepwalking all the way!
<br />
<br />
Always good to measure it on a day when you don't have to get up to an alarm. I reckon mine raises 10-20 beats when the buzzer goes off. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
