Dallas McLeod re signed for 2023 another piece in the squad.
He needs a big season. He made NPC look difficult. I remember he was being talked up on here as he was coming through the grades but he hasn't delivered yet.
Fihaki is another who must be running out of time to make his mark.

@Chris Where’s TTT going? Highlanders?
Highly unlikely. Three halfbacks in Fakatava, Smith and Arscott signed. Nathan Hastie to train with the squad with his 2024 contract as well.

Yeah agree

@SouthernMann Fakatava ruptured his ACL during a training with the All Blacks, will be out for 6-9 months.

Taha Kemara I hear is maybe the 3rd First five signing.
What happened to the Lucas Cashmore rumour, wasn't he getting a Crusaders contract in place of Hickey?
Must have gone cold on signing him after he couldn’t get NCP time.
Kemara maybe be better he is a young gun. -

Kemara maybe be better he is a young gun.Definitely not, Cashmore was the standout player for NZ U20's this season:

Well I rate Kemera highly, I was a fan of Cashmore through the Under 20 comp but he had a couple of starts for Bop in the Npc and he was average.
We’re Kemera had one start for Waikato and was very good and he is a year younger than Cashmore
I know the Chiefs would be pissed if they lose Kemera..And no Cashmore was not the standout player in the u/20s Bell,Lakai, Springer and Hotham were much more impressive.

Hmmm... so he could join his old 1st XV halfback.
As long as Kemara stays with Waikato. Taha would have been a certainty to be the Chiefs U20 1st 5 next year so this would be a big loss.

Without fully diagnosing the injury it is unlikely they will name an injury replacement.

He was actually talking to the Warriors about next season. Not likely he's signed there but it was an option he was considering.

I would put them all in the same group - Cashmore was really impressive for the U20s. Of course plenty of players have looked like stars at U20s level before and haven't translated.
I really like the Crusaders signing a promising young 10 as the 3rd choice instead of a journeyman like Hickey though. It's what other teams should be doing.

Ah fuck that's irritating ðŸ˜
Disappointed there. Was hoping Chiefs would keep him
